IT Officer Exam Syllabus (IBPS Specialist Officer Exam 2013)

IBPS has announced the common written exam for the specialist officer vacancies (IT Officer, Marketing Officer, HR Officer etc) and the exam will be held on 16/17 Mar 2013. As per our knowledge and experience, last year, there were very few vacancies for Marketing/HR/Agr etc, but good number of vacancies came out for IT Officer posts in various PSU Banks.

Given IBPS Specialist Officer exam (recruitment for 20 PSU Banks), happens only once in a year, lot of candidates are planning to appear for upcoming IBPS IT Officer exam. IT officer exam, as mentioned on IBPS website, will contain 4 sections - Maths, Reasoning, English and Professional Knowledge (each section having 50 questions). Lot of candidates have asked us queries regarding the syllabus of professional knowledge part of IT Officer exam.

Some of the major topis which come in professional knowledge are given below (Although, approx 60-70 % paper comes from first two topics only.) -

1. Database Management (DBMS)
2. Networking
3. Network Security
4. Web Technologies
5. Programming concepts (Basics)
6. Basic hardware (Microprocessor, timer, ALU etc)
