Deletehyy friends,i given my interview on 15th jan…and give ur ques those they asked to me.. when i entered in the room i wished them(there were 4 members) and they replyed me n offer the chair to sit.. 1st member:- why u want to join the bank job? 2nd member:- where u live?tell me about ur education qualification? 3rd member :- except deposit n loan,what banks do? 1st member:- difference between nationalised n private bankes? 3rd member:- tell me about CTS(cheque truncation system)? 1st member:- what is balance sheet?what its use? 2nd member:-have u read any account book?can u tell me about closing stock?.. 4th member only watched me in whole interview… then they said ok apoorve u can go now.. i thanks them n came out of the room……….. so BEST OF LUCK WHO ARE GOING FOR INTERVIEW….. if any one have query reply me i will short out in best possible way..

DeleteTouseef: you can apply in any state's bank but then you need to know their official language. So if you know Hindi only like me then you can only apply only in Hindi spoken states(Haryana, UP etc)

ReplyDeleteI had My interview yesterday at Bank Of India Training Center , Noida -62,at 11.30 shift.
I was given s.no 1st for the second round after the completion of document verification process..i was being asked to wait in the common room..where all other students were also waiting.I had a little conversation with the students available there to enquire about the previous interviews that ad been taken place.. from that i learned that there is a mix atmosphere and all kind of things are being asked including technical aspects also..I was a bit nervous because i was not prepared regarding financial terms..and the current..then suddenly i was called for interview.along with the sno 2 in my panel...we were asked to wait out side the room where interviews were going on till that time it was 1.45 pm ...I was little worried and tensed ..then suddenly the panel member came outside and told us that they are going for lunch..and will be back soon..they i had a conversation with the candidate who came out of the room..i just asked her what type of questions were asked..she replied that it was something from banking and finance despite she was a physotherapist.. I got more tensed..my panel two member were back in 15 minutes..rest were not there..the one of the panelist came himself to call me...then it all started...
I entered the room only two people were there..TheI just member who called me was standing and the other person just said smilingly that..The panel member himself called you.. you are already selected..I replied - thank u sir..with a firm smile..then he offered me seat..
The enviorment had become light after that smiling conversation..Then the panel member spelled my name..he spelled it incorrect..then i rectified it..so he apologized smilingly..and asked that did i justify my name meaning with my personality or not..then i replied 'yes' with confidence..til then my nervousness was out..as the panel was very supportive...then Came the next question:-
Q no-1- What are u doing right now?
Ans- I described my work profile.
Q no 2- What kind of company is yours?
Ans- I throughly described my company working ..as my company is related to education field..provide coaching class for govt exams..
Q no-3 Then the asked regarding who we provide classes..what we teach etc?
Ans.I thoroughly described each and every aspect..it was a very detailed.discussion regarding the working style..
Q no-4 Then the other person gave me a conditional question like as if i am working as asst manager in a bank and i got a complaint of cashier regarding the shortage of notes in the bundle.?
Ans- I was a little stuck..then they asked me to take 10-15 seconds and then reply..I thought a little and replied that i will first cross check whether this has happened or not and will supervise and cross check things..and if found something wrong then would complaint to higher authorities..
then they interacted within themselves a little regarding my qualification and then said its done..then they offered me toffee.. i said thank u and bid everyone good afternoon and left the room...
I was very happy to be fortunate that i was not asked anything from technical line..

i reached at 11:15 and wait till 2:15 then they call for document verification then got my document verified at 3:00pm now i again waited for about 2 hours for my interview turn, its around 5Pm i was interviewed, i was the 2nd last candidate of my panel.
scenario of interview:
i enterd in the room there was 4 people including a sardar and a madam they offer me seat.
nothing happens as i expected no introduction... no general question simply

I1: corrected me as... E & C Engg
me: Yes sir
I1: tell me the qualities of leader.
me replied but they want more explanation(i think)

me : answered but i dont know what they want to listen
I1: what RBI do
me: explained
I1: what pranab mukherjee did first thing after he became president.
me: No idea...then he answered but i didn't understand.. just reply yes sir
I1: what will you learn if you'll get selected as PO
me: explained.... like interaction with different people,, culture, values etc etc.
I2: what is your score
me: replied
I2: KYC?
Me: replied
madam: money laundering?
me: replied and linked ans with KYC(kyc used to check money laundering)
madam: financial inclusion?

my interview was last for about 8-10 minute
and i thing interview is just a formality all candidate will get near-about same marks expect some.. written marks that matters
one more thing
the boy intervied earlier to me was also btech and he was asked some technical quetion from btech so ready to face this ..as well

Int: In Munnar? Do you know about Munnar?
Me: Yes sir. I lived there for 10 years.
Int: Do you know about the tea cultivation there?

Int: Why do they prune the tea plants? How big they grow? When is the best time for cutting tea leaves?
Me: I am not sure when is the season for cutting tea leaves. But I know the purpose of pruning the branches is for the new fresh leaves to appear.
Int: What leaves do they cut?
Me: They cut the new leaves which just come out.
Int: Do you know the types of tea? CTC, etc?
Me: I am not aware of the varieties of tea sir. But I know that there are paketing centers in Munnar from where they package tea and export to foreign countries.

I believe it is a privilege to be part of such an organisation. Also there is a respect that we get when we work as a bank manager. These are the main reasons.
Int: Suppose you are posted as PO. What will you do for marketing the bank?
Me: Sir, I believe we need to bring reputation in the minds of people. For this, I will have to do my work diligently. I will have to learn the services offered by the bank and communicate well with the customers and provide good customer service to them. Also we need to reach the public. This can be done through advertisements. The company that has an edge in this will do better marketing.

Me: Sir I identify the competitors of aaa and perform various analysis based on the requirement. We will have meetings with th client and then our team will discuss and prepare reports and send the first draft. We are a team of 5. They will review and send us their comments and feedback. Based on their feedback, we will make changes and send the final draft.

i answered all the Qs except 3-4 Qs all based on economics like cottage v small-sclae industries? small business? I could not answer 3 Qs continuously... the interview lasted for 15 mins.

There were 4 members in my panel and all are male. 2 Sardar Ji,one from up background and last one is from my native place Uttarakhand.. whole interview was in hindi bcz they were asking in Hindi. Question which was being asked by them are as follows:
1. Tell me something about ur education & percentafge?(They were delighted with my marks)
2. Where u have heard or seen something related to ur name & how would you know about it?
3. Why public sector not private sector?
4. What is proritty sector?
5. What is lead bank?
6. Who is the new chairman of tata & with this ans little bit of conversation starts b/w me and up background person as I am defending or explaining my answer.
7. What is the name of rbi governor?
8. How are you updating yourself with current affairs?
9. Last uttarakhand man asked about my village name & asked one thing from yesterday news paper.
This is all I faced yesterday with full confidence & with a smile on my face & I had answered all question except newspaper question bcz I had left my home at sharp 6 A.M fro interview and this thing I had told to them..
Please sir give me response what are my chances with this score and with this interview experience..PLZ PLZ PLZZZ Rply..

Ans: I am Fine. Thank u.
M1: Tell me something abt u
Ans: I said abt my qualification, schooling, belongs to place, family, skills, work experience
M2: tell me something abt ur project u hace carried in MBA
Ans: I have give title and then said i have analysed each and every investement alternatives on the basis of risk and market-economic returns.
M2: what was the conclusion?
Ans: Sir, I have found that investors are conservative in nature and like to invest in SIP rather than in Lump sum way. And Mutual Fund is the best investment avenue as it provides u high return at given risk and managed by professional person.
M2: What factors determines Working Capital?
Ans: Sir, it can be form of organisation, trade cylce, credit policy, size of organization
M2: What are the elements tht factorise Working Capital?
Ans: I got confused as i though i just answered it. So I again add two more factors but he deny.. than he said the two elements of which determines it. I said sir it is difference Current Assets and Current Liabilities. Sorry Sir i couldnt get u first thts y didnt reply
M1: What should be the Current Ratio?
Ans: I asked sthadard ration or its related to specific industry.
M1: Standard
Ans: Sir, It should be 2:1
M2: If Current Ratio is 0.6 and 1.8, what it inducates?
Ans: Sir, it signifies that O.6 ratio company is not able to meet their liabiliies in well manner abd they may face problems to pay their bills while 1.8 Ratio indicates they are well managing their liabilities and able to meet it as and when it is required.

hai friends i attended my interview on jan 23.in my opinion the interview was tough.the process is as follows.....i entered the room and wished good morning.the panel members said me to sit down.the questions asked are tell me abt urself,how many deposits are there in banks,is there any tax exemption in fixes deposits and what is the scheme,what is microfinance and what are the giving this loans,acid rains,renewable and non renewable sources,un secretary general,why mali came into news recently.as iam from andhra he asked our state finance minister.dont i did my interview very bad.hope u may day good.all the best

friends these are the questions they asked to me, i answer all the questions confidently except q.no. 12 & 13. i don't know exact answers that's why i replied" sorry sir i don't know". Total duration of my interview is approximately 22 minutes.

I've done AMFI both modules, NSE Capital Market (Dealers module)
I've done PGDM(Mkt)
Have work-ex but shown only 6 months workex as I did not have releiving for others.
They did not ask me anything but B.Com.They asked me 10-12 questions.Apart from what does your father do, some family details, some business details My answers were either not sattisfactory or "I'm sorry" "Don't know Sir" "I'm not sure sir"....I'm very sad and dejected as I type...I was very well prepared for my interview but just not prepared at all with the B.Com....Plz let me know of my chances...will I atleast pass the interview...

M2 (50-55yrs): he asked me, when you completed your PG,what major
ME: sir, M.Sc in 2006, biochemistry major, (as soon as i said this, his face turned like why these people are coming for interview, fit for nothing it seems, "because i haven't worked anywhere, completed in 2006, now 2013, nearly 5 yrs gap,ideal in home other than preparing for exams"
M2: what your father doing?
ME: dentist in Indian air force, retired
M3 (58-60yrs) : is this your first time appearing for interview?
ME: yes sir, ( because i haven't submitted the OBC certificate and in verification they commanded as " not submitted" from this they get to know that it is my first interview attempt
M2: have you passed any exam before
ME: yes sir, last year clerical
M2: then why not attended any interview
ME : my cut off is less sir (before completing my answer)
M2: what was your last score and now
ME :last year 127 in clerical and now 137 in PO sir (again he looked at me like no hope, definitely you will be not selected so on )

M2 : interest rate means?
ME : sir, repo, reverse repo, slr, crr ( immediately)
M3 : what is present CRR rate?
ME : sir, 4.25, previously it was 4.75
M3 : what is meant by CRR?
ME : Cash reserve Ratio (CRR) is the amount of funds that the banks have to keep with the RBI. If the RBI decides to increase the CRR, the available amount with the banks comes down. The RBI uses the CRR to drain out excessive money from the bank.
M2 : how they calculated this percentage?
ME : sir, i don't now much about that sir
M2 : you people are thinking that these questions only we are going to ask and appearing for the interview
M3 : you don't know how to calculate then how we select you as a PO officer
M2 : appearing for PO interview you suppose to know everything about it, you don't know means, then how we select you as a officer, how you manage as a officer
M2 : you just gone through some bank terminologies and rates in some net sites, but this is not enough to select a PO officer, you must have to know about it
ME : (i really feel so bad) i said sorry sir, definitely i join and learn about all these things before my joining if i get selected

please friends important ( which i experienced) : if you unable to carry any of these, during verification, they wrote in the command as not submitted properly, this paper will be sent to the interviewer, which may arise a negative opinion, so pls frnds check before the day of interview carry all the papers properly

Deleteself attested copies only, but frnds dont think that as you already have caste certificate signed by thasildar is quite enough for intervew, its complusory ur suppose to produce format certificate downloaded from ibps site for sc/st/obc/pwd that only valued as caste certificate ( xerox copy for submission )not your original caste certificate which issued during your childhood period and for character certificate download from the site and get it signed and seal from gazeted rank because need to produce that only, not xerox copy , all the best friends

they didn't askd me to sit for first 15-20 sec then they say have a seat..
aftr dat...m1(sardar) askd me that why u sign in two lines ..i relied that sir, i heard boys should include his surname so that y but he said so u can write it in one line..i said as such no particular reason sir...he said ok fyn..
then he said introduce yourself..i introduced my self but tht was not gud introduction as iws bit nervous..
then sardar again said tht m goin to ask u one questn you have to answer within 5 mins..take 1 min to think and speak....
question...u r the manager of the bank and u r on probation period...there are low staffing in ur bank and lot of customers are ther on the same day, everyone wants to open saving bank account...on the same day , one of ur co-staff is getting married and ther is award for best performer..how do u manage...?
my answer..
sir, since i have to manage it alone..i will do each n every task in an organised manner..i will make my staff and my customers more comfortable wid me...i will assign each task to each one of my co-staff that someone will do customer acceptance policy..someone will do customer idenficatn procedure...this is how i manage..and if i need help of seniors..i will definitely go fo it..dats it...i explained in just two minutes...
then they said thats it..i said yes sir..
then he said any ques from u..

friends i don’t know how far PO-II will get the job, because still PO-1 recruitment is going on, , 21 jan, allahabad bank recruited nearly some 200 candidates from PO-I list as 4th list, if each bank do the same then how PO-II will get the vacancy i don’t know, because ibps not published the number of vacancy for PO-II and said PO-II cut of valid from jan 2013 only, so that no body applied for the existing vacancy published by respectable bank upto dec 2012, ibps suppose to inform that all the banks should complete their recruitment process before Dec 2012 and by the next jan 2013 is only for PO-II candidates, if still some bank recruiting PO-I and filling up all the vacancies , then PO-II will get very very less number of vacancy only from each bank , it’s really pathetic for succeeded PO-II candidates

Factual comparision of IBPS 1 and IBPS 2 PO :
ReplyDeleteTotal no. of PASSED candidates scoring ABOVE 140: 57600(IBPS 1) and 40365(IBPS 2)
150 – 159 : 17000(IBPS 1) and 12700(IBPS 2)
160 – 170 : 9300(IBPS 1) and 4620(IBPS 2)
170+ : 4300(IBPS 1) and 2058(IBPS 2)
Now consider the below mentioned points before reaching ur respective conclusions:
> The toughness level of both IBPS 1 & 2
> The no. of vacancies in IBPS 1 i.e. 20,000+
> Above mentioned figures include all catagories
> Scores called for interview of IBPS 1 and hopefully selected dropped till 158 I guess and vacancies still not filled.
NOTE: The source of the above mentioned figures is 100% genuine but the figures may vary 200-300 (plus or minus) coz it was a very tedious job to calculate to exact precision…Ab manna ho to mano, nahi manna ho to mat mano. Discuss karna ho to karo, nahi karna ho to mat karo but plz dont abuse me coz I’m myself very nervous and I understand how it feels if somebody tries to play with anyone’s feelings so I wont spread any rumour or threat…These figures are genuine and accurate.

In any interview educational background is very important. Every interviewer tries to check ur preparation, confidence and intelligence by asking questions about what u have studied and whats happening around u....If u have sound knowledge about these it shows ur awereness about ur subjects and ur surroundings...I have recently given IBPS PO 2 interview...It was entirely based upon my studies..So, u better prepare ur subjects well.

ReplyDeleteDuring Document verification, I had shown experience supported by latest salary slip from present employer and its initial joining letter. They asked me for NOC. I explained them that I am in a private firm and they wont issue me a NOC. They agreed and document verification was complete. All the Docs were ok and as per requirement.

M1: (Looking at my salary slip) Your present employer is giving you a handsome salary then why do you want to leave your present organisation?
Me: sir, my ambition to join banking service...... then I explained the drawbacks which I face with my present employer (without discriminating organisation). I explained them scope in present employer with respect to my education qualification.
M1: Ok Mr Chaudhary, What does ur father do?
Me: sir, he is an agriculturist, basically involved in farming and cattle rearing.
M1: so you are from rural background, (he then asked M2 to ask since I was from rural background)
M2: What crops are sown presently in your field?
Me: Sir, presently Rabi crops Viz. Mustard, Castor, Jeera are sown.
M2: ok, What is the yield that you get from these crops?
Me: We get normally 7-8 quintals of mustard per Bheega, sir.
M2: Are you sure? That sounds too much.

Me: I have no idea sir.
M2: Ok , actually he has voiced for opening new rural bank branches.
M2: aspart from farming what are other sectors in agriculture?
Me: Sir, poultry farming,
M2: what else?
Me: Sir, i don’t remember.
M2: ok Have you herd about Piggery, fisheries,etc
Me: yes sir (He then explained me those terms, I thanked him, he smiled)
M1: Ok mr Mahesh, What is ypur score in written?
Me: sir I have secured 146.
M1: Ok Mahesh, Than you.
I thanked all the members and left the room.
So friends tell me how was my interview? What are my chances. I fall in OBC category.

ReplyDeletewe can decide preferences only after we have information about our rank in the merit list and no. of vacancies given by each bank....coz our rank will decide where we stand and how our prefrence will be entertained....and no. of vacancies will help in deciding which bank would be a safer option...it also depends upon the region u belong...for example I m north Indian so I ll prefer banks having large reach in northern India and south Indian banks will have low prefrence in my list.

and interview was just for 10-12 minutes
there were 4 members in the panel ....one on my left handside Starring @ me continuously form bigining till end..
I entered in room and wished them once to all
M1 tell me sth about u and ur qualification ,family in detail.
me : i started my intro but in middle one person of them interrupted me
M2: what is ur graudation percentage
me :i answered
M3: what is father doing
me: i told profession
M2: so u have studied about bakning
me: yes sir!
M2: have u joined any coaching
me : i told the name of institution
M2:Do u have prepared for interview in the coaching
me ; no sir
M3: again so u have studied bank then tell me what u have learnt
me....speechless(cant get from where shd i start)
M4:what is CRR

My character certificate was not in the format they wanted so they made me sign a declaration saying I would submit my character certificate in the required format within a month.But, silly me, I forgot to ask where I should send it!I tried calling them but their no. doesn't seem to be working.Anyone having any idea or suggestion as to what I should do??Should I mail it directly to their office in Kandivali,Mumbai?
ReplyDeleteYou need to submit your character certificate at the time of joining with other required documents. So, don't worry....There is no need to send it anywhere right now.

Panel :4 members one from IBPS and 3 others from different banks.
Questions:
1)M1: Introduce urself
answered well ...name.. place.. graduation..marks previous job experience..12th 10th marks..family background hobby..
2)M1:(As I was working for Infosys)
What is ur CTC
answered
M1: Don't u think it is good??then why do u want to quit?
answered:some benefits like moving to public sector
M1: Interrupted and asked u r b.tecch from E&C so didn't u try for other PSUs like BSNL BHEL etc..
Answered well convincingly..
Note: I was not able to complete any of the answer always got interrupted..
3)M1:What do u think why banks are growing(asked while answering why i want join bank as i told banks are growing with very high pace so..)

I told them that i m quitting pvt sector as in pvt sectors the whole life is confined within the premises of office and home ...there is no social life... and i want to work with the organisation where i can directly deal with the public.. through which my life will remain social..and PSUs like bel bsnl have nothing to do with public dealing..it is almost like pvt sector but with job security.. so i preferred banking to other PSUs..
DeleteRegarding joining banks other benefits are also:
complete job security
social life
respectable job
high career growth
lots of learning
over drafting facility upto 4 lack(may vary from bank to bank) from salary account
tour packages etc..
also IT expertise will be utilized in banking sector ..which will be very useful for banking industry
(can be explained the technologies that r used by banks and how it would be easy to use for a person who has experience of IT sector)
Regarding growth of banks because of rural expansion:
i told them it is not the sole reason ..banks r expanding in the rural areas for social cause of financial inclusion..
also most of the rural branches are not contributing in the profit of banks..
more over banks are not only expanding in rural areas but also abroad..

Deletecut off marks for Gujrat is 95 and for MP is 120 i dont know for other states
85 is d eligible mark fr sc in my state i scored 99... i dnt hav idea of hw d interview gng to be conduct...my quest is seein my written mark vil dey reject me coz i scored less even though if i do my interview level coz both d written nd interview nly dey gng to calculate nah..

I have a question that I have completed my b.tech in this year and I have got my provisional degree certificate from our university.I also have my course completion certificate from our college but our university has not yet issued degree certificate so I don't have degree certificate right now..Will it create any problem at the time of interview????will they not allow me to appear for CWE Clerk interview????Please reply me..I am very tensed..
