Success Story - K Mayank - Syndicate PO

Few of my written lines--
Ab saamne hai manzil ho hairan kyun ho tum,
Apne dil ki uthi waah se pareshan kyun ho tum,
Ab apnaayenge sab tumhe bhool ke teri saari khamiyan,
dastoor yahi hai duniya ki isse anzaan kyun ho tum

Friends after writing by interview experience it always a pleasure to write my success story.

1 year preparation made  a novice in banking field able to taste the success. Failures are part of life its true but believe me failures give  you an opportunity to know the loopholes in your efforts.

Lost of close encounters with luck I faced in my preparation and sometimes felt that this field is not for me.

Exams which I failed and abused my luck for teaching me this bitter task
  • RBI Grade B - Missed written by 8 marks( My 1st banking exam)
  • SBI PO 2014 - Missed by 1 marks (cleared the overall cutoff and descriptive but 1 marks less in quants.)
  • RBI Assistant - (scored 152 but cutoff 157 in Bihar)
  • BOB Manipal - (Cleared written, GD, PI but missed the final list by some 3.7 marks)

After all these close encounters It was not easy to concentrate on my preparation but what motivated me to continue was my self confidence. Yes I Can Do It. I started introspecting myself and the loopholes in my efforts and worked on that.

Days started turning in my side now and happy days  started knocking my door..

Exams which I succeed .
  • IBPS RRB—scale 1 officer
  • IBPS PO - result awaited
  • IBPS Clerk - Result awaited
  • Syndicate Bank PO —Final Selection
  • SSC CGL 2014—tier 1( my 1st attempt)
  • NABARD—prelims exam..

#Now Flash back ( How I found this platform which helped me in every aspect of getting success)

Once I made my mind for preparing banking exams I have no any prior idea about the pattern and question level. My younger brother who is a serious aspirant of these bank exams persuaded me and guided me about the syllabus and introduced me about Bankers Adda. I searched on google and typed Bankers Adda.. Believe me I was not coming to comment section for starting 2 months of my preparation.. I just used to go though the valuable posts and inputs of this website.. After giving my SBI PO exam I made my ID here and post my 1st  exam experience.. Since then I used to visit this website frequently and now this is my Addiction.. Here I found Shruti mam and her every single reply made me motivated for getting my goal..Whenever I encounter with failure she motivated me “ Mayank you can do it and make me proud”. These lines are like energy booster for me and I use top double the pace of my preparation..

#My preparation strategy
I fist identify areas where I am strong and where I am average and where I am completely zero.
Strong areas - Quant, reasoning, average- English . zero—GA and banking ( As I was engineering graduate)

So that means a great effort required to improve my GA and Banking knowledge and parallelly, I have to maintain my quant and reasoning level too.

For GA, I Started  reading Hindu daily and making notes of that and followed BA daily GK updates and actively participated in quizzes at BA. I really thank my friends here who come here with all the quizzes and this is really a great platform to have all questions on single site..

For banking I started preparing for the basic knowledge of banking and followed a book which was suggested by my brother. After learning the basics I thought to relate the daily banking activity with my knowledge and for this I actively followed the business page of the Hindu and pointed the banking and economy terms which are unknown to me and then started making them known.. These daily practices enabled me to increase my banking knowledge and know the recent banking activity. Regular participation with these concepts here on BA excelled the understanding level of these concepts.

Finally I was  ready with my strong areas and weak areas to appear for the exams..

Now starts the encounter with the failures but I have no other options. Success came late but came with full hands. This is the start now and I believe many more to come…THANKS A LOT Shruti mam and entire BA team  It was not possible without your support

Ending with my few written lines--

Aaj haar hai to Kal teri Jeet Hogi,
ye duniya fir teri mureed hogi,
Nikal pada hai to ruk mat aye bande,
Jeetega tu aur ye duniya chasmdeed hogi.
