This is the story of a not so silent reader of BA….. ‘LEARNER_VK’. Initially I never thought of writing my story but then I felt I must express my gratitude to all those who contributed in the process of me getting this coveted JOB, yes coveted... because I know how much it is worth to me.
My journey for getting a job started with my first failure in my campus placement (company = HEADSTRONG), nevertheless I got placed in Wipro after that….but did not join as I had always wanted a job in a public sector company…I went to Delhi after that….to prepare for GATE and appeared but could not succeed with a lowly 37 marks out of 100.
After my coaching got over I came back home and appeared the next time but still could not succeed (52 marks out of 100). I was like in a state of loss and despair…I cut myself off from all my friend circle as I felt I will not be able to face anyone(devastation at its peak since I had always been a good student throughout my academic years…and not being able to clear an exam in my field was something of an embarrassment for me at that point of time…) I recollected myself and then prepared hard and appeared for ONGC in the month of July last year. My exam went extremely well…(saying this because I had matched my answers and was sure of getting 120+ out of 150..and the interviews would not have been much of a problem as the contribution was like 75% written, 15% interview and 10% academic records) .But to my utter dismay….the entire exam all over India was cancelled due to some anomaly in one of the centres in Delhi.
It was after ONGC that I decided to switch over to the banking and Insurance sector as I was not getting any younger and started to feel those untold pressures…It was evident from the fact that my parents (both Retd.) have also started finding it difficult to face other people outside(they never told me but still I could understand…)
I still remember the day 13th September it was when my friend from Bareilly SAURAV called to wish me on my birthday and helped me become a part BA family… It was after that day that I seriously started preparing for IBPS PO(my 2nd banking exam after SIDBI ). After that day I have always been a silent yet not so silent but ardent reader and follower of BA….
It was during my course of preparation only that I got the oppourtunity to meet some of the talented lot of our country…..like elSA, Bishnu, luckyme, Akansha, pooh and many more..And I am happy that one of them became my good friend as well for which I will be ever grateful to BA.
Now why have I got this opportunity to share my story….. it’s because….I have now become an AO in NIACL.
And I thank the almighty, ishwar, allah whoever he might me to have given me the strength to get going and make my parents proud and I also wish the same to all of you my friends….
