Success Story - LuckyMe - UIICL AO

Dear everyone,

This is LuckyMe's story. I promise I will keep it simple. I am in the happiest space now, because I got my first job as Administrative Officer in United India Insurance. It is great to see my parents happy and proud than ever. For me, that matters more than anything in the world. Because they have always been super supportive. :)

I passed Btech ECE in the month of July 2014. I am an average student and that does not help in Kerala. I learned BTech from a government engineering college, a good one indeed. But it could not fetch me a core job. It was sad to see my friends go away, for work, for higher studies. And I was not interested in the IT jobs which had 4 years of bond and a salary of 15K a month. So a bank aspirant was born.

I joined a coaching class here and I studied, really well. The initial days were bad, I was not getting hold of reasoning section. So I practiced a lot, used to study 5-8 hours a day on the good days for 3 months. I used to read newspaper but could not memorize things. And there came, savior BA!! BA helped me get 30+ scores in GK section. English and Quant are my better sections. I used to read The Hindu and make a note of important news as well and Daily GK Update from BA. And, used to work out practice sets on a regular basis.

First bank exam was SBI Clerk. Didn't clear it. I didn't feel bad though. I kept writing exams. Cleared every exam I wrote afterwards. RRB, IBPS, UIIC, NIACL, SBI asso. Now I got my first job too.

How I kept myself motivated?  This is the most important part. Don't let go if you fail. Remember everyone is flawed.

Find out the flaws and cover them up with your strengths.

My motivation was the success of my friends. I felt jealous of them when some managed to get good jobs from the biggies of IT industry. It kept me fighting! I don't know if jealousy is a good thing. But one have to find something to keep the fire burning. Many of you may have better reasons like nagging relatives, non supportive parents, ridiculing society, increasing age or monetary issues. Find your thing and work hard. You will reach your goal. You will be rewarded with more than a job. Read Silent relatives, Happy and proud parents, A seemingly supportive society :D

P.S: Apologise for the looooong story and for keeping it not simple :D
