1. Forlorn: lonely and miserable

2.Exhilarate: To make an individual extremely happy
Synonym: electrify, excite, thrill
Usage: According to the author, the purpose of the novel is to exhilarate readers and leave them with happy thoughts.

3.Farcical: Bizarre or outlandish
Synonym: funny, hilarious
Usage: As we watched the farcical film, we could not help but laugh at the antics of the three comedians.

4.Expatriate: an individual who does not reside in his native nation or birthplace
