The 2nd shift of exam UIIC AO 2016 is over now, and most of you must be waiting for the review to be posted. The overall difficulty of the paper can be said Moderate. But one can score good marks if he studies regularly. But as the number of candidates are increasing every year and seats are also limited in UIIC, hence, we can say that cut-off will not be low this time as well.

Here is the analysis of the second slot of UIIC AO 2016:


The exam comprised of five sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, General Knowledge and Computer. In addition to these sections, an Online Descriptive Examination was also there in which Candidates had to write an Essay and a Letter using Keyboard.

Quantitative Aptitude:
Quant section contained questions of moderate level, but one needs to deploy enough time to them as some of the questions were quite calculative.

Overall level of the questions were Moderate. RC, Cloze test and Para Jumbles were related to the Insurance, Industry, Organization etc. None of them was story based. So, one needs to practice a lot to score good marks.

Reasoning

Circular arrangement was a tricky one, rest of the questions were also of good level. But one can score really good if he is in continuous practice.

General Awareness and Computer Section:
General Awareness questions were of easy level if one is up to date with the daily news. 

10 Nos. of questions in the Computer Section were easy, 5 were moderate and 5 were of difficult level which were favorable for the candidates from Computer Science Background.


Descriptive Section Analysis:


Candidates needed to write the answer in online mode using Keyboard.


Two questions were to be attended in the Descriptive Exam i.e. One letter and One Essay. There were three options for both – letter and essay. Candidate could choose any one of the given three options to answer.



Essay Topics:

  • Importance of crop insurance.
  • SWOT analysis on insurance industry.
  • Difference between Life Insurance and General Insurance. And discuss about the various types of fire Insurance.
Letter writing Topics:
  • Letter to insurance company for assessment of loss in warehouse due to explosion in neighbor’s factory.
  • Write a letter to your insurance agent requesting for policy number of your insurance as you have lost your policy papers during your move from Bhubaneshwar to Madurai, and your insurance premium date is due.
  • Suggest benefits of term insurance to your brother who has already taken an insurance policy.
