SBI PO Prelims 2016: Exam Analysis - 2nd July, Slot II

Hello Friends,

The First day Second slot of SBI PO prelims exam is over .Here we bring you the Second Slot Analysis which will help you understand the composition of SBI PO Pre exam. There are 3 Sections in SBI PO Pre exam namely English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.

In this slot we have found that the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. The pattern of this paper was similar to last year’s SBI PO prelims exam and also to the first slot paper today. As the paper was moderate we can say the paper was also very tricky. There were 5 puzzles asked in this second slot also as the  first slot paper that is an important point to note. But those puzzles were of moderate level with a tricky approach i.e. you need to pay attention while solving the puzzles.
The total time is 1 hour, so clearly Speed, Accuracy and Planning is surely needed to have good attempts.

Over-all Analysis:

Section Level Good Attempts General English Moderate 16-21 Quantitative Aptitude Moderate 19-24 Reasoning Ability Easy-Moderate 19-23 Overall Moderate 57-63

The analysis is based on the review given by various students across the country. And here is the section wise review:

English
The important point in English language section is that it has to be attempted within limited time so that you are left with sufficient time for Quant and Reasoning. The level of English was moderate as it was in the first slot today. There was only one Reading Comprehension on the topic related to Empowerment in America (in which there was comparison between the treatment of men and women in working class).

Topic No of Questions Level Reading Comprehension (Women Empowerment Index in World) 10 Moderate Cloze Test (Education based) 5 Easy Para-jumbled (American Revolution based on condition of Hositals) 5 Difficult Error 5 Moderate Double Fillers 5 Easy Total 30 Moderate

Quant
This is a tough section as compared to the rest two sections. The quant was asked just as it was in the first slot. Overall the pattern was almost same as previous year. Arithmetic was a little difficult than other topics. DI data was given related to production.

Topic No of Questions Level Number Series 5 Moderate-Difficult Quadratic Equation 5 Easy Data Interpretation (Bar graph/Table) 10 Easy-Moderate Approximation 5 Easy Arithmetic 10 Difficult Total 35 Moderate

Reasoning
The level of reasoning was also moderate and with tricky approach. With good accuracy students will score well. There were no coding decoding question asked in this slot and also there were no questions from Syllogism. Just as the first slot 5 Puzzles were asked and they were tricky as in no direct information can be easily inferred from the directions they gave in them.

Topic No of Questions Level Puzzle (North South 8 People in same line/ Department and Persons/ Circular/ Boxes and their different colours) 20 Moderate Seating Arrangement 5 Moderate Inequalities 5 Easy Direction Sense 2 Easy Blood Relation 3 Easy Total 35 Moderate

So students keep your accuracy good and stay focused as the paper can be tricky. All the best for upcoming slots.
