Happy Rakshabandhan

Dear Readers,

Rakshabandhan,  as we call it affectionately ‘Rakhi’ is not just a festival but signifies everlasting love, emotions and eternal bonding between Brother and Sister. Bankersadda and SSCadda wishes all of you a very happy and loving Rakshabandhan.

Celebrated in different ways with different names all over India. This festival also has a deeper meaning and spiritual significance and derives its importance from the core of Indian history.‘Raksha’ means protection, ‘bandhan’ means bound or binding between brothers and sisters. Popularly this festival is marked by the tying of a Rakhi or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The brother in return offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her through out her entire life .  Rakshabandhan also shows the love and care of a brother towards his sister .

याद है वो बचपन , वो लड़ना – झगड़ना और वो मना लेना ,
यही होता है भाई – बहन का प्यार ,
और इसी प्यार को बढ़ाने के लिए आ रहा है रक्षा बंधन का त्यौहार। …

Rakshabandhan has many historic legends linked to it. The multicultural aspects of this festival can be gleaned from history dating back thousands of years . Mughal King, Humayun, showed his deference towards the significance of Rakhi. He didn’t take measures against the attack of Shershah Suri and went away to save and help the widow Rajput queen of Chittaur, Karnavati, who had sent a rakhi to Humayun.

And just like other festivals of our country this festival in this beautiful season brings out colours and aura of goodness in streets and at our home. Sisters select colourful Rakhi, sweets and gifts for their beloved brothers. In return, brothers pamper and blesses the sisters and promises to protect her from all the evils of this world. He also presents a token of his love and affection as Rakhi gifts.

This Rakshabandhan gift your sibling something important.
