RBI Assistant 2015 Flashback!

Dear Readers,


As we all know RBI has declared the change in pattern for the examination to be held for the recruitment of Assistants. It has been decided by the Bank to revise the scheme of selection for recruitment of Assistant from the year 2016. Under the revised scheme of selection, there shall be two phase online examination i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by Interview. Candidates who shall qualify in Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the Main examination will subsequently be called for Interview .

The revised scheme of selection is as follows:-

III. Interview :

  • The Interview will carry 35 marks.
  • Final selection will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Online Examinations and interview taken together in order of merit.

Final selection was on the basis of candidate's performance in the online examination and interview taken together in order of merit.

As it was observed from the last year's cutoffs that the cutoffs were very high. The number of vacancies are very low (Last year total number of vacancies were 504) as compared to other banks therefore, the competition is really high. So Start your preparations as soon as possible. Do not wait for the official notification.

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern 2016 – Points to note
  • The RBI Assistant Exam will be held online. 
  • The Preliminary Exam will carry 100 marks.
  • The Mains Examination will carry 200 marks.
  • A candidate has to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately. 
  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests.  
  • All the tests except the English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi
  • Candidates qualifying the Prelims Exam will be called for the Mains Examination. Subsequently, those qualifying the Mains Examination will be called for Interview.
