A young man was hired by a bank in the mailroom. The lowest position one could be in, but his foot was in the door. His father asked him if he would like to one day be president of said bank. The young man replied “yes”.

So the story goes that the father had a pin made with the letter “P” on it and told his son to wear it to work every day but to never tell anyone what it meant. It was, of course, to remind him that he was working to be president of the bank one day. His father told him that every day tries to find ways or do things that would bring him closer to that goal.

Well, many years later, his son did indeed become president of the bank. Never telling others what the “P” stood for, and even though other employers would make up their own ideas of what it meant. When he earned the position of President, only then did he reveal what the “P” stood for.
It was to remind him every day of his goal and to remind him every day to work for that goal.
There are two types of people in this world. Those who say “I can” and “I will”, and those who say “I can’t” which really means “I will not try”
