Bankers Adda Success Story
Name: Srijan Hazra
Place: Kolkata (The city of Joy), West Bengal
Cleared: Bank of Maharashtra PO PGDBF, RBI Assistant, IBPS PO (Canara Bank), IBPS Clerk (United Bank of India).

My Story:
After completing my graduation (Civil engineering) in July 2015 I was placed in a private company where I went through training for about 2 months. During my training I realised that it was not what I wanted. I left the company in the beginning of 2016 and from here on the war started.
The first exam which I appeared for was RRB NTPC (results yet to be declared lol). Then I filled up forms for SBI JA and PO. Clearing the preliminary exam was not that big a problem, but clearing mains looked impossible every single time. I couldnt clear the mains of both the SBI exams. I realised that my weak spot was General awareness. It is very boring and tedious to study GA but I said to myself- “How about I give it a try”. I put everything into it and results started to show.
The first final round exam I cleared was IBPS PO (toughest paper in the history of IBPS). Then I cleared the BOM PO PGDBF and the interviews started to line up. I appeared for IBPS clerk, RBI Asst., Niacl AO, IPPB and SSC CGL.
BOM final list was out and my name was there. I was happy but at the same time I hesitated since it was a PGDBF. I appeared for the PO interview and it went well. Now came the long wait. When would April 1 finally come. In february RBI Asst result was declared. I knew in such less seats I had no chance. I gave the exam just to have a taste of how RBI exam feels like. I was shocked to see my roll no on the list. I checked 10 times, still cudnt believe it and called my parents to check it 10 more times. This feeling continued for about a week and then it finally started to sink in- The War is over.
I never felt so confident in my life. April 1 came and I got two more gifts. Well I am one of the fortunate ones to get utmost support from my parents and my friends. Yes there was criticism, but if there is no opposing force victory wouldn’t taste so sweet. Now I have made up my mind I am going to join RBI. This is just the beginning of a greater war and I will fight it with everything I have got.

TIPS:
Candidates always ask for tips. How one should go about the preparation? How one should start? I would like to present a basic formula which I have used step by step. If you find it comfortable you can try this:
Pickup a book which contains all the chapters and get to know the basics really well how every problem has to be solved. Accuracy Sorted
People talk about increasing speed. Remember you are not the Flash. What you can do is increase your speed by reducing the time taken. Go through the internet looking for short cuts and tricks to solve the problems in much less time. Attend online classes or videos on YouTube. Speed Sorted.
Buy a test series and solve at least one paper each day. Try to maintain your percentile over 90%+. In the beginning it will seem frustating but give it some time. After every test rectify your mistakes. Practice Sorted.
Daily read a newspaper (any one of your choice). PDF files are available a week before your exam date. GA of the last 3 months are always enough. GA Sorted.
Last but not the least you need a tiny bit of luck. If luck is on your side, Life Sorted.
