How to Fill Bank Preference Order for IBPS Clerk 2017 |_2.1

IBPS has released 7883 vacancies for the recruitment of Clerks this year and the link to apply online is also active. While registering online for the IBPS Clerk exam, you will have to provide a list of banks you want to work in post-selection in decreasing order of preference. This task of choosing preference troubles many candidates as they are not sure on what criteria should they choose/ prefer a bank or not? Keep on reading because here we will help you understand the process for Bank Preference for filling IBPS Clerk 2017 Online Form.

You must not take this task lightly as you must remember upon selection IBPS will allot you the bank on the basis of your merit and preference. Then you’ll be in that bank for a long period of time, you’ll be starting your career with this.

Points you should remember while filling IBPS Clerk 2017 Recruitment Application

1. While filling application for recruitment of IBPS Clerk you will also have to be very careful while choosing the state for which you are going to apply. IBPS has clearly mentioned in the notification that the candidate must be fluent in the regional language.

2. As IBPS Clerk is a state-level job, thus if you are looking forward to work near your hometown you can give preference to the bank which has more number of branches in your state. This can increase the chances that you might get a branch near your hometown. However, which ever bank you’ll choose will/can post you at any of their branches within the state you are applying for.
3. If I’ll prefer banks that have not yet declared their vacancies (NR/Nill) then how will this effect my selection?
This questions might be bugging you as there are 19 participating banks out of which 3 have not declared their vacancies with the status NR. But if you choose any of these banks as priority in your preference list this will have absolutely No Effect On Your Selection. Remember, as there are 19 participating organisations, all those who have not declared their vacancies yet might declare them on later stage of recruitment. So if you’ll select any bank out of these 19 as priority, then upon declaration of complete vacancies you’ll have a good chance of getting the Bank of your choice.
The headquarters can be criteria for choosing a bank. This is because whatever bank you chose, you will find more number of branches in the state where the headquarter is located. This can increase your chances of staying in or near your hometown while working in that state. So, in this article, we are providing a list of banks and their headquarters. It’s better to review once what you have in mind. For preference, you should also keep in mind the work culture of a bank.
