SBI PO Group Exercise & Personal Interview Experience 2017 - 1

Dear Readers,

BHOPAL,4th September 2017, 10:00 am

I reached the venue at 9:45. Documents verification went on smoothly. There were 10 candidates in our panel. We soon went into the Group Exercise room. There were 2 retired bankers of the General manager level sitting in that room.

Group Discussion

Topic: Smaller states are curse or blessing?

We had to speak for or against the given topic. The group discussion went on for 20min, then we reached the consensus that  smaller states are a blessing.

Group Exercise

We had to prioritise the Reasons for the poor performance of India in Rio Olympics. There were 8 reasons mentioned in the paper and we were asked to give it numbers from 1-8.

Personal Interview

There were 5 members in the panel. One lady and 4 male (one was CGM). Following are set of questions each panellist asked me:

M1: Why did you do distance learning?
Which subjects did u have in BA
What is your favourite subject? (geography)
Why geography?

M2: Recent hurricane came where? (Texas, US)
What was its name?
How do we name the hurricane? (could not answer this)
Why one hurricane is the feminine name and one masculine?

M3: Why women cricket was in news recently
What records were made during the world cup?
Captain of Indian women cricket team

F1: How geography related to economic development?
Do we study HR in geography?

M4: Why vipasaana? (my hobby)
How it helps?

Last question from CGM
How the Himalayas were formed?
Answered it but vaguely, could not remember exact keywords except Indian plate and collision.

Overall my SBI PO Interview experience was good and I wish best of luck to others.
