SBI PO Group Exercise & Personal Interview Experience 2017 - 31

SBI PO is the most sought after recruitment process by banking aspirants. Group Exercise and Personal Interview is the final round (Phase-III) in SBI PO 2017 Recruitment. Last year SBI introduced a prioritisation based group exercise which is also being conducted this year in the Group Discussion Round. (Delhi LHO 09-09-2017 10:00 AM batch) After reaching the venue they conducted biometrics followed by document verification which was followed by the start of Group Discussion.

GD Topic- "Is FDI Retail good or bad for Economy? "


It was good and we reach a consensus that FDI should be planned manner and it is good. Group Discussion can be a tensed situation for some, but with confidence and clarity of thought, one can easily score in this phase. It is important to maintain the decorum of the session and avoid being too loud. Put forth your views and opinions firmly best backed by figures or facts and also let your fellow group members voice their opinions.

Group Exercise - Qualities you look in your spouse

Group Exercise is performed after the discussion. In this group, exercise candidates were given a set of few qualities/ attributes/ traits/ parameters which they had to prioritize according to their understanding of the topic/ situation/ thinking ability. It was also good and we reached a consensus and reached to a proper order.

Personal Interview

There were 5 members 1 F and 4 M and they were like very polite.

F1 - What is the meaning of your name? 
Me - answered

F1 - your hobbies are- Cricket, Singing, Mimicry and Reading motivational books. ...what book you have read recently. 
Me - "5-second rule" and explain kiya rule kya hai

F1 - large hadron collider kaun sa particle discover hua tha (as I have done physics hons)
Me - explained about Higgs boson a bit.

F1 - what is the difference between Ambassador and High commissioner
Me - I said I can try
To unhone kaha Haan btao Maine bataya to unhone kaha galat hai..then they helped me a bit but still I cannot tell them.

M1- Economy ke baare me Pta hai aajkal? Should India go for an open economy
Me - yes rakhni chahiye and explain kiya

M2 - Do you know about gravity? what is the law of gravitation?
Me - told

M2 - Difference in weight of the moon and earth?
Me - answered

M2 - Situation Test - Suppose you are posted to a branch in a hill station and there are only 5 people working with you in your branch.  You were on leave on a weekend and on Monday you got struch due to a landslide and you have the possession of all the keys. Now what will you do and how will you take care of such situation?
Me - tried to answer they helped me but...I couldn't answer it well situation hi aisi thi...

M3 - When did Bangladesh became an Independent Country and who was the 1st President?
Me - 1971 president I don't know.

M4 - International film festival kaha ho rha hai ?
Me - I said I don't know

Then unhone kaha India ki 2 actresses Ko bahut recognition Mila hai bahar to Maine btaya.. but still I said ki film festival ka I don't know.

Last me maine pucha ki Ambassador and High Commissioner me difference bta do, Saare ek hi Awaaz me bole..." Google karo yaar.."

Overall an Awesome experience and the ambiance of the place was wow.. it was my first ever interview.. let's hope for the best. P.S-Panel was very helpful.
