The United Nations has celebrated ‘The International Day of Happiness’ and all 193 United Nation member states have agreed in unison that happiness should be given greater priority. Thousands of people all around the world came out and to make new positive and prosperous connection with others. The Day celebrated to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people and being happy and living in an inclusive and equal world. India ranks 122 among world’s happiest countries. Norway ranks the happiest country according to previous year survey.
Many authors, philosophers, and business people have shared their wisdom about being happy. Roald Dahl once wrote in his book ‘The Twits’: If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
There are many things that make your day a happier one. This is something which you can’t get by simply paying for it. The key to happiness is not in one thing, there are lots many ways by which you can make your day. Some get it by listening music, some by reading, some feel happy to exercise or do anything you are passionate about. Spend more time doing it and chase your dreams. Live simple•Give more•Expect less. Each day is a gift to follow your dreams, be nice, trash your negative thoughts and love who you are.
Happiness is not something readymade. It comes from your own actions.—The Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama is Supporter of International Happiness Day.
Don’t care about what people think of you. Learn from your mistake and Don’t whine about your silly problems. You will eventually end up making your day worse by whining about it. Make a habit of doing what you are passionate about, what you love. It will improve your mood and make you feel light-headed and healthy. Basically, happiness is a lasting satisfaction and inner peace.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”— Mahatma Gandhi
