Dear Students, as we all know that there were several discrepancies in the conduction of this year’s SSC Tier II Examination. The SSC Tier II 2017-18 Examination was conducted in the month of January from 17th to 22nd. While the examination was being conducted, we came across an issue on 21st of January that once again highlighted the crevices in the system of SSC Examination that still need to be filled in order to conduct a fair and just examination.
It was suspected that the answer sheet of the Quantitative Aptitude Paper was already being circulated before the examination because the paper was leaked before the exam itself. Due to this, they the examination was interrupted and was delayed too. And this doesn’t end here, there is more about it. Yes, in Patna, it was suspected that not only Quant but English Paper too was leaked before the examination and this led the authorities to stop the complete process of examination at the centers there.
The examination is rescheduled to be held on 9th of March for all those who had the exam on 21st of March. The candidates from Patna will have to appear in the Tier II Exam where both Quant, as well as English Section examination, will be conducted whereas the candidates from other centers will have to give a re-exam for Quantitative Aptitude Section.
Also, students earlier have had problems regarding the missing normalization procedure that does injustice with the students who get to attempt a difficult examination. The Tier I examination of SSC was conducted in the month of August 2017 in several shifts in a time span of 15 days. Some of the shifts had an easier overall level of examination whereas others had a nerve-wracking level of questions. Instead of this crystal clear difference in the level of different shifts of examination, SSC did not give a nod to the normalization process to do justice to the students who could not perform to the best of their ability because of the same.

All of this led to a protest at CGO Complex in Delhi on 27th of February. The protestors were basically the candidates who are now fed up with these malfunctions in the conduction of SSC Examinations. These malfunctions do not limit to the conduction of examination but the bandwidth of these discrepancies also expand to other arenas as in the delay in the declaration of results and date of joining of the selected candidates. So, SSC should take some stringent actions in order to curb these discrepancies for the sake of fair and just conduction of examination.
