Data Interpretation is an essential part of Quantitative Aptitude Section of every Banking Examination. 10-15 questions in every Preliminary Banking Examination are from Data Interpretation. And when we talk about Mains Examination, SBI has always conducted it’s mains examination keeping the name of the Quantitative Aptitude Section as Data Analysis & Interpretation and IBPS PO 2017 too is going to follow the same pattern. So, we hope, now you understand how important it is for a banking aspirant to practice Data Interpretation.
The DI’s generally asked are Tabular DI’s, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Cumulative Bar Graph, Pie Chart, Radar Graph, and Missing DI. The new pattern DI’s that are now being asked in the exams can be based on any miscellaneous topics like Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, etc. So one cannot expect the old pattern questions only that used to be based on simple Profit and Loss, Percentage or Ratio and Proportion Concept. Any of the old or new pattern DI’s can be asked in the upcoming banking examinations.
To solve a DI efficiently, you need to brush up your calculation skills, you need to perform calculations faster and accurately. The difficult DI’s should be solved within 10-12 minutes. The DI of moderate level should not consume more than 7-9 minutes of the time and easy DI’s should be finished within 3.5-4 minutes. If the time that you take while solving different DI’s is more than the time affirmed above, then you really need to work on it.
The only way out to solve DI’s efficiently is a constant practice. The more you practice, the better you get. And to let you practice and make the grades in the Quantitative Aptitude Section of all the Banking Examinations, Bankersdda provides you with daily quizzes on the blog as well as Adda247 Mobile App. Knowledge is of no value unless you put it in practice. Keep practicing because that’s the only key to success.
