The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India organizes SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination) every year for selecting eligible candidates for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Data Entry Operator(DEO). A large number of candidates every year give this examination with a dream to join Central Government and avail the perks and power imparted to them by the Government of India.

SSC CHSL 2017 Vacancy

The recent declaration made by Government of India states that they will be hiring as many as 2.2 lakhs candidates from March, 2015. The total vacancy available for SSC CHSL 2016 was 7662. The number is expected to increase this year. Every year around 30 lakhs candidate appear for SSC CHSL examination.

SSC CHSL 2017 Recruitment

The recruitment to various posts in the Government Organisation is done through SSC CHSL in three different phases. While Tier-I exam is conducted through online mode, Tier-II and Tier-III exam of SSC CHSL is conducted through offline mode. A candidate is required to qualify each stage of SSC CGL 2017 exam in order to proceed to the next level of the exam. Candidates will be selected only if he/she clears all the levels of the examination.

SSC CHSL 2017 Exam Centre

The details of the exam centre will be provided by SSC in their admission certificate that is issued 2-3 weeks before the commencement of the exam dates.

SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam Pattern


Tier-II is a designed to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi via Descriptive Test. Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words is asked in this test. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.

SSC CHSL Tier-III Exam Pattern


SSC CGL Tier-III Exam will be a skill test that could be taken as per the availability of the candidate.

SSC CHSL Online Application 2017

The online application of SSC CHSL 2017 will be available once the official notification for the same has been released by the Staff Selection Commission of India.

SSC CHSL Application Fees 2017

A candidate must pay Rs. 100/- for SSC CHSL 2017 Exam. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category are exempted from paying the application fees. Female candidates as well as Ex-Servicemen are also exempted from paying the application fees for SSC CHSL 2017.

SSC CHSL Syllabus 2017

SSC CHSL Tier II Syllabus


Tier-II paper is a descriptive exam where a candidate needs to write an essay and Letter/Application. The essay topics will be related to National Interest, Finance & Economy, Ecological Issues, Social Issues, Politics, Schemes & Governance, Technology, Sports, Geopolitics, Environmental Concerns etc. The type of letter/ application asked in Tier-II Exam will be Complaint, Suggestion, Application, Official Appreciation, Follow up or Feedback etc.

SSC CHSL Tier-III Syllabus


SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-III will be a Skill/ Typing Test which would be of a qualifying nature. The final merit list of the selected candidates will be based on the basis of total score obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill test for Data Entry Operator:


In this test, a candidate must have data entry speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour.

Duration of the Test will be 15 minutes and English document having about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions would be given to type.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

There are three criterias that a candidate must fulfill in order to be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2017 exam

The three major parameters for the same are 
  • the citizenship of the candidate
  • the age limit and 
  • the educational qualification.

SSC CHSL Admit Card

Candidates must download the ISSC CHSL 2017 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the SSC CHSL Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on the official website, the candidates will require the following:
  • Registration No/Roll No
  • Date of Birth/ Password
The admit card will be made available 10 to 15 days before the SSC CHSL 2017 Exam. The admit card or call letter for SSC CHSL 2017 will be issued in 3 phases:
  • Tier-I Examination
  • Tier-II Examination
  • Tier-III

SSC CHSL Result

SSC will release the results in after completion of each Phase of Examination.The Final Merit state wise and category wise List shall be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by the candidates in the Tier-II & III Exam. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment

i have applied in NR SSCCHSL FOR PA/SA . CAN I OPT FOR HARYANA CIRCLE (NWR) WHILE TYPING TEST/ DOC VERIFICATION.
