Will there be any interview after the written result?

Yes, as per the notification there will be an Interview of the candidates who qualify online exam and the date of interview will be notified after the declaration of result of online exam.

Will the exam conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?

Common Written Exam for UIIC AO will be conducted online in 2 phases on the same day (Objective + Descriptive).

What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 31.03.2016 i.e candidates must have been born on 01.04.1986 or later and before or on 31.03.1995 (both days inclusive).

What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?

(a) Generalist Post: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government.

(b) Specialist Post: Graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.

**NOTE 1: Working knowledge of Computer is a must.

**NOTE 2: Qualification should be from any recognized University / Institute in India duly approved by UGC / AICTE with appropriate pattern like 10+2+3 or its equivalent pattern.

** NOTE 3: Other things being equal, preference will be given to candidates having post qualification experience in their area of specialization and/or having qualification in non-life Insurance.

I have given my final year graduation exams but the result has not been declared yet. Can I apply?
‘No…. You cannot apply for the exam’.

The candidates should have completed the qualification on or before 31.03.2016. Those who have written the examination before or on 31.03.2016, but, results are declared after 31.03.2016 are not eligible to apply.

What is the application Fee?

Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Rs. 600 /- for all others

When will the registration start?

Registration will start from 6th May 2016 and will end on 17th May 2016.

I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?

Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.

I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?

You must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on as on 31.03.2016.

How to calculate the Percentage?

The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

What is the Structure of the exam?

Common Written Exam for UIIC AO will be conducted online in 2 phases on the same day (Objective + Descriptive).

1st Phase: Objective Test (Multiple Choice Questions) : It will be of 2 hours duration.

2nd Phase: Descriptive Test: Questions will be displayed on the screen of your computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard. Candidate will get 30 minutes to answer the questions in the descriptive test.

Is the exam Bilingual?

The tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

What is the cut-off for being recruited?

There is no fixed cutoff for UIIC Administrative Officer. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Your final score is calculated based on your performance in the online test and the interview.

Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?

Yes, there is a sectional cut-off as well as an overall cut off in the exam. You have to clear every section in order to secure a seat for the Interview.

I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general knowledge section. Am I still eligible?

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section individually and the overall cutoff as well.

Is there a criterion for negative marking?

For each wrong answer ¼ of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from the total obtained marks.

What is the pattern of score in UIIC Administrative Officer Exam?

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method depending upon the slight difference in the difficulty levels of the questions in difference sessions.

How many times one can appear for the Administrative Officer Exam?

No, there is no limit for the number of attempts. You can attempt any number of times between age of 21 to 30 years as mentioned above.
