State Bank India yesterday released it’s notification for recruitment of Specialist Officers for various post. SBI’s recruitment of various posts will be conducted tentatively on 25th November 2016.

 What are the posts available under this recruitment project?

The post which will be available in this recruitment project are:


a) Assistant Manager (System), 

b) Developer, Test Lead & Tester

c) Statistician and 
d) Technology Relationships Manager (Tech-RMs) 


 What are the posts available under this recruitment project for freshers?
The post which will be available for freshers in this recruitment project is Assistant Manager (Systems) – JMGS I

☛  When will be the exam conducted?
SBI’s recruitment of Specialist Officers will be conducted tentatively on 25th November 2016.

☛ How many vacancies are there?

☛ Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Common Written Exam for SBI SO will be conducted in online mode.

☛ What is the Structure of Examination?

The structure of the examinations which will be conducted online are as follows:

a) Except Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, other papers will be of qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. The questions will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language).


b) To be eligible for being short-listed for interview, candidate have to score equal to or above the Cut-off marks to be decided by the Bank for the PK test, besides scoring equal to or above the Minimum qualifying marks in other tests.


☛ Will there be any interview after the written result?
Yes, there will be interview process only for Officers Grade-I. 
Candidates must secure equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks (to be decided by the Bank) in interview to be considered for selection. In the interview, the candidate can opt for Hindi also

☛ What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
For Assistant Manager Officer Scale-I Age Limit: 21 to 30 years – Age as on 01.09.2016

☛ What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
For Assistant Manager (Systems) – JMGS I: B.E./ B.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communications/ Electronics & Instrumentation OR M. Sc. in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communications/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR MCA from Government recognized University/ Institutes
Note: Experience in computer programming in a reputed organization, where available, would be desirable

☛ What is the application Fee?
Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. 
Rs. 600 /- for all others 
☛ When will the registration start?
Registration will start from 4.10.2016 and will end on 22.10.2016
☛ I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes, you can apply for the Assistant Manager (Systems) as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.
☛ I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
No, You must be at least 21 years of age to apply for the posts of Assistant Manager (Systems).
☛ What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the performance of the candidates. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Mains Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process.
☛ Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?
Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear every section.
☛ I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the English section. Am I still eligible?
Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section individually and the overall cutoff as well.
