I am currently working as a software developer in Chandigarh from last 4 years. Starting for the bank preparation was take as a casual decision since I was already working. I started preparing in 2014 Jan. During that time, my room-mate got selected as PNB PO. From that point I started taking my banking preparation seriously and I cleared the SBI clerk exam in 2014, but I did not make it to the final list after the interview (at that time, interviews were being conducted in clerical examinations).
I felt very disappointing and quit preparing for bank exams and started focusing on my job and I did not touch the banking books for more than 1 year. In Aug 2015, my best friend motivated me to start again, I started studying again but did not clear any exam in 2015. Again, I became hopeless. During that time my 2 friends also got selected in Canara bank clerk. I became more determined to crack the exam but at the same time, I got more responsibilities in my job and I did not get much time to preparation. I started preparing till late night 2AM and go to office in the daytime. In 2016, I started with SBI clerk and PO. The format of both the examinations was changed totally and it shocked me. I cleared pre exam of both clerk and PO but did not make it to the mains exam. I became more alert for IBPS examinations from SBI experience. The last days of struggle were very hard since I had to go to office 8 hours and attend interview classes for 4 hours. I was not getting proper sleep (4-5 hours per day). But finally the good news came, first in 10th march 2017 and second, third in 1 April 2017.
The struggle was very hard since I was managing between my higly paid, highly workaholic software developer job and banking examination. But finally the hard work paid, and I got selected in three positions. My good friends, bankersadda, Adda247 and my Teachers helped me a lot. They taught me each and every detail, word can’t express the gratitude towards them.
