Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!!

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. People wait for this festival eagerly. Ganesh Chaturthi. It is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to sanctify the Lord Ganesha's birthday. According to the Hindu Mythology, he is the lovely son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Ganesha is known by 108 different names and is the Lord of arts and sciences and the deva of wisdom. He is honored at the start of rituals and ceremonies as he's considered the God of beginnings. He's affectionately and devotedly referred to as Vighana Harta means remover of all obstacles for devotees and Vighana Karta means the creator of problems for devils.

People believe that Goddess Parvati created Ganesha out of dirt off her body while having a bath and set him to guard her door while she finishes her bath. Shiva, who had gone out, returned at that very time. As Ganesha didn't know who he was, he tried to stop him. An angry Shiva severed the head of Ganesha after a fight between the two. Parvati was angered and Shiva assured her that Ganesha will live again. The devas who went in search of a head could only manage the head of an elephant. Shiva fixed the elephant's head on the child and in this way he got his life back which is celebrated as a festival of Ganesha Chaturthi.

This festival is observed in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada in the Shukla Paksha. It is considered that for the first time, the fast of Ganesha was kept by the Moon as he was cursed by the Ganesha for his misconduct. After the puja of Ganesha, Moon was sanctified by the knowledge and beautifulness. God Ganesha is the supreme god of Hindus who blesses his devotees with wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Ganesha Chaturthi festival is celebrated separately by the families or group of people in the Pandals or temples or community. It ends on Anant Chaturdashi after the idol Visarjan.  Ganesh Visarjan is a special and most important part of the puja. It is performed according to the Muhurat of the Ganesha Visarjan. Children of the houses actively engage in this puja and get blessings. Lord Vinayaka is the preserver of all good things and remover of all obstructions.
