Keep on reading to understand the experience of Mayank Pathak.

Venue: LHO, NEW DELHI.

Time: 10 a.m.

I reached there by 10 am. 10 aspirants were there including me. After 30 mins of biometrics and documents verification, we were taken to a big chamber. Two hon’ble officials were already there. After wishing, they congratulated us and told us the difference between group discussion and group excercise. After that group discussion started.

GD Topic- “THE PENALTY AND BAN ON RAGGING IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES ARE JUSTIFIED OR NOT?”

As the topic was quite easy, everyone’s opinion was in a justified basket. They provide us 5 minutes to jot down our points. So, after 20 minutes of discussion, on we concluded that it is totally justified. After the discussion, one of the two officials told us that your marking is done for this discussion but for your future guidance, I want to tell you some points regarding this GD topic, had I been in your position, I would have included these points (which he mentioned) as well.

Group Discussion can be a tensed situation for some, but with confidence and clarity of thought, one can easily score in this phase. It is important to maintain the decorum of the session and avoid being too loud. Put forth your views and opinions firmly best backed by figures or facts and also let your fellow group members voice their opinions.

Group Exercise – Traits of a strategist.

Group Exercise is performed after the discussion. In this group, exercise candidates were given a set of few qualities/ attributes/ traits/ parameters which they had to prioritize according to their understanding of the topic/ situation/ thinking ability.
