SBI PO Group Exercise & Personal Interview Experience 2017 – 17

Dear Readers,

SBI PO is the most sought after recruitment process by banking aspirants. Group Exercise and Personal Interview is the final round (Phase-III) in SBI PO 2017 Recruitment. Last year SBI introduced a prioritisation based group exercise which is also being conducted this year in the Group Discussion Round. Interview experiences can help you get an insight of the difficulty level, environment and types of questions being asked in SBI PO 2017 Group Exercise and Interview Round. After reaching the venue they conducted document verification which was followed by the start of Group Discussion.

Each candidate spoke on the above-mentioned topic for few minutes after which the group came to a conclusion. Group Discussion can be a tensed situation for some, but with confidence and clarity of thought, one can easily score in this phase. It is important to maintain the decorum of the session and avoid being too loud. Put forth your views and opinions firmly best backed by figures or facts and also let your fellow group members voice their opinions.

Group Exercise – Traits you look in a team member for a project. 

Group Exercise is performed after the discussion. In this group, exercise candidates were given a set of few qualities/ attributes/ traits/ parameters which they had to prioritize according to their understanding of the topic/ situation/ thinking ability.

I Answered

M1- do u read the newspaper?
Me- yes sir

M1- tell me what was trending news in last month
I told about supreme court’s 2 big verdicts about triple talaq and privacy and also told about doklam, Myanmar violence, Gorakhpur tragedy, and murder of Gauri lankesh.

M1-your graduation performance was very weak …why?
M1- I told them environment and syllabus were not suitable for me.

M1 – Why banking?
Me- I told about stability and all and better-growing sector than engineering

M1- He told me ONGC, Indian Oil etc are also stable and even more stable than banking then why you chose banking?
Me –  Banking is more suitable for me than engineering..

F1- didn’t ask anything
M2- which is the smallest planet
Me – unable to recall

M2- what is repo rate and cash flow rate
Me- I told about repo rate but didn’t hear about cash flow rate

M3- Tell some social media sites
I told FB WhatsApp Twitter and all

M3- are they helpful?
I told in detail about its advantages and bad consequences

F2- Who is CEO of Google?
I did blunder I didn’t recall Sunder Pichai’s name but told he is Indian.


F2- What is Myanmar’s currency?
I again did blunder told rupee (big mistake)

And finally, my interview was finished.
