IDBI Executive Examination is going to be held on 28th of April. One really needs to make strenuous efforts to ace this exam. It is also true that stressing out and worrying about the exam will do no good at all. So, it is important for the students to have a positive mindset. Your best bet would be to be to make the best use of your knowledge and you can only do that if you are unladen. Being stress-free doesn’t mean you have to be jolly as a sand boy, it can affect your performance in a negative way. A little amount of stress is healthy and necessary too for your exam. So students, here are a few revision tips for all those who are going to appear in IDBI Executive Examination 2018.

Reasoning Ability
• The trick to attempt the maximum number of questions in Reasoning Section in minimum time is to attempt the difficult puzzles in the end.
• Start with the questions that are not in the form of puzzles, you can choose to start with the questions based on inequalities, direction and distance, syllogism, coding-decoding, alphanumeric series, and other random topics.
• Then try to start with puzzles that appear easy to solve and proceed with moderate and difficult puzzles in a similar way. So, this is how you have to manage to attempt this section.
English Language
• The trick to score in English section can vary from one person to another depending on his/her strengths and weaknesses.
• If you are good at vocab and reading then attempt the reading comprehension first and proceed with Cloze Test and other miscellaneous topics like Error Detection, Para Jumbles, Phrase Replacement, Double Fillers, etc.
• But if you are good at grammar, attempt Reading Comprehension in the end.
• The Reading comprehension too should be attempted in a way that you attempt questions based on vocab and phrases first and then the questions that need a deeper penetration through the paragraphs.
Quantitative Aptitude
• The trick to score marks in Quantitative Aptitude Section is to attempt the questions on Quadratic Equations, Simplification and Approximation first and then going for Number Series.
• After having attempted all these questions efficiently, go for Data Interpretation.
•  The remaining few questions will be based on miscellaneous topics like CI & SI, Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Partnership, etc.

### Some General Tips For IDBI Executive Examination

Plan:
Go for the examination with a proper plan so that you aren’t barking the wrong trees while attempting the examination. Know what subjects you are good at and where you lag. Attempt the very section first that you are good at and weakest subject in the end. Doing this will ensure that much of the time is not wasted on solving the questions that are difficult to you and in the end you don’t fail to attempt the section that could get you a higher overall score. Do not stick to a single question if you are not able to solve it. Move forward with the questions that you are able to solve easily, without wasting much of your time on them.

Revision:
It’s high time to revise all the topics that you need to be tremendous at. Sort the important topics into a checklist and settle on how each and every point is to be revised before appearing for the examination. It might sound preposterous a few days just before the examination but trust me, it will help you focus your learning and you won’t be like, “Gee! I was so good at this topic. I could have done better had I revised it well.”

Eat healthily:
Did you know that what you eat and drink can affect your exam performance? Yes, food that you eat before exam too can affect your scores. Healthy pre-exam nutrition will give you an added edge during exam time, and in fact, it can. Your brain needs the energy from food to work efficiently, so do not skip meal. Avoid brain blocking foods such as foods made of white flour: cookies, cakes, and muffins, which require added time and energy to digest. Also avoid foods that are high in refined sugar, such as chocolates, desserts, and candies. Make sure you drink enough water before and during your exam. Tea also works, though without a lot of sugar. Dehydration can make you lose your concentration, feel faint, and sap your energy.

Do not Stress:
Much of stress won’t let you fathom out the questions asked in all four of the subjects. So avoid anything that can stress you out, keep calm and stay focused for the exam. It is important for the students to have a positive mindset.

Sleep well:
Take a nap before the exam as it improves memory recall and the ability to concentrate. Do not pull an all-nighter before the day of examination. If you wouldn’t sleep for the whole night, you likely won’t remember much of what you studied anyway. To make the best use of your knowledge, you should try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every day before the exam.

Take a print out of your admit card and photo identity proof in advance as waiting for the last moment will not be in your favor. Confirm the location and all other important things that you need to know about your center in advance so that you don’t waste much of your time in search of your center on the day of examination.

Wishing you all the luck for your examination!!
