A total of 50 questions will be asked in the Quantitative Aptitude Section of IBPS SO Prelims Exam for the posts of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer & Marketing Officer. The trick to make the grade in Quantitative Aptitude Section is pretty easy. The total number of expected questions on Number Series (Missing or Wrong Number series) is 5, Approximations is 5, Inequality is 5, Data Sufficiency is 5, Quantity 1 & Quantity 2/Quadratic Equations is 5. If we talk about the previous year Examination of IBPS SO Prelims Exam, there were 5 questions each on Number Series, Inequality and Number Series.
After having attempted all these questions efficiently, go for Data Interpretation/ Caselet. There were 20 DI questions in the previous year IBPS SO Prelims Examination, out of which, 5 were from Caselet. So, this year also, it is expected that a Caselet and 3 sets of DI (5 questions each) could be asked. Attempt the questions based on Arithmetic in the end. There were a total number of 15 questions from miscellaneous topics in IBPS SO Prelims Exam 2017, so, we can expect 10-15 questions from this part this year, out of which, at least 6 questions will be doable.
Remember that a mix of accuracy and good number of attempts can do a good turn in Quantitative Aptitude Section.
