Expected IBPS PO Mains Cut Off 2018

Now that the IBPS PO Mains 2018 Exam has already been conducted, all those who appeared in the exam must be eagerly waiting to know if what could be this year's cut-off scores to qualify for the final interview round. Stick around till we discuss the subject-wise as well as overall cut-off scores for this year's IBPS PO Mains Examination 2018.

Students, if we take a close look at the IBPS Examinations conducted so far, it can be deduced that this year's IBPS PO Mains Examination was the most exorbitant and knottiest of all. The questions asked in Reasoning, English and especially Quantitative Aptitude Section were hard to deal with, and students could barely attempt a good number of questions in any of them. Let's discuss the sectional cut-off scores of the four sections asked in the examination.

General/Economic/Financial Awareness Section: It was the easiest of all and most of the students have attempted the maximum number of questions in this very section. The only change observed in this section was the appearance of questions from news that most of the people ignore either finding them unimportant or not worth looking at. So, next time, you have to make sure that you read all the news items with an informed mind, leaving no stone unturned. The expected cut-off score for GA Section is 10-12.

English Language Section: The pattern of questions asked in this section too was changed to an extent that most of the time was spent reading the instructions carefully to avoid any kind of non-intended mistakes. With almost 21 questions from Reading Comprehension only, this section astounded most of the students with entirely new pattern questions. The sectional cut-off for English Section could be 10-13.

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude Section: Not many changes were observed in this section apart from the ones in Puzzles. The floor-based puzzles asked this time involved mathematical calculations and instead of people staying on each floor, there were a certain no. of flats with a certain no. of rooms on each floor. Not just that but the area of the flats too was given that made it even more convoluted to settle for the final answers. The sectional cut-off for Reasoning Section is expected to be 11-13.

Data Analysis and Interpretation Section: This was the one that blew everyone's mind this time. With the most complicated questions in the whole IBPS PO Mains Examination, this section proved to be a can of worms for all the candidates. The difficulty level of this section hardly allowed anyone to attempt more than 10-12 questions. So, the cut-off for this particular section will be no higher than 6-8 marks.

And if we talk about the overall cut off of IBPS PO Mains 2018 Examination (out of 200) then it is expected to lie somewhere between 58-68.

Sections Expected Cut-Off
English Language 10-13
Reasoning and Computer Aptitude 11-13
Data Analysis and Interpretation 6-8
General/Economic/Financial Awareness 10-12
Overall (Out of 200) 58-68
