Sachin: Saurabh = 3: 2

Sourav: Virat = 3: 2

Ratio of the runs scored by Sachin, Saurabh and Virat respectively

= 3 × 3: 2 × 3: 2 × 2

= 9: 6: 4

∴ Runs scored by Sachin

= 9/19 × 285

= 135

Solution:

A : B = 3 : 2 = 9 : 6

B : C = 3 : 2 = 6 : 4

∴ A : B : C = 9 : 6 : 4

∴9x/3 –4x/4=1000
