Reasoning Ability is an onerous section. With the increasing complexity of questions, it becomes hard for one to give it the cold shoulder. Today is the Day 8 of the SBI Clerk Prelims Study Plan. The only way to make the grade in this particular section in the forthcoming banking exams is to practice continuously with all your heart and soul. And, to let you practice with the best of the latest pattern questions, here is the Adda247 Reasoning Quiz based on the study plan and the exact same pattern of questions that are being asked in the exams.

Q1. Rohit ranked 14th from the top and 32nd from the bottom in a class. How many students are there in the class?
45
46
47
48
None of the above
Solution:
Clearly, number of students in the class = (14 + 32 - 1) = 45.
Q2. Harish ranked 21st from the bottom and 11th from the top among those who passed an exam. Ten boys did not participate in the exam and three failed in it. How many boys were there in the class?
40
44
50
55
58
Solution:
Number of boys who passed = (21 + 11 - 1) = 31.
∴ Total number of boys in the class = (31 + 10 + 3) = 44.
Q3. In a row of boys, A is thirteenth from the right end and B is tenth from the left end. If in this row B is eleventh from the right then what is the position of A from the left?
8th
7th
10th
12th
None of the above
Solution:
Clearly, A is 13th from the right and
B is 11th from the right end and 10th from the left end of the row
So, number of boys in the row = (11 -1 + 10) = 20
Now, A is 13th from the right
Number of boys to the left of A = (21 – 13) = 8
Hence, A is 8th from the left end of the row.
Q4. Harry is seventeenth from the left end of a row of 40 boys and Rohit is seventeenth from the right end in the same row. How many boys are there between them in the row?
