1. DOWNGRADE (Verb) अधोगति
Meaning: reduce to a lower grade, rank, or level of importance.
Synonyms: decline, declivity, descent, dip, hill, inclination
Antonyms: ascent, improvement, increase, rise
Usage: His career has been on the downgrade.


2.STRINGENT (adjective) कड़ी से कड़ी
Meaning: not allowing for any exceptions or loosening of standards
Synonyms: brassbound, cast-iron, exacting, hard-line, inflexible, rigid, rigorous,
Antonyms: flexible, lax, loose, relaxed, slack
Usage: There are stringent rules against unauthorized persons being in our building

3.EGALITARIAN (Noun): समानाधिकारवादी
Meaning: one who advocates or practices social equality.
Synonyms: democrat, leveler
Antonyms: snob, snoot
Usage:  As egalitarians, some people have always promoted policies for equal pay.

4.SOJOURN (noun) विराम
Meaning: a temporary stay at one place, esp. while traveling.
Synonyms: stay, tarry, visit, stopover.
Antonyms: journey, migration, departure, advance.
Usage: During Dean’s sojourn in Paris, he spent two weeks visiting all of the city’s cultural attractions.
5.INCUR (verb) झेलना
Meaning: become subject to (something unwelcome or unpleasant) as a result of one’s own behavior or actions.
Synonyms: provoke, earn, arouse, induce.
Antonyms: avoid, shun, elude, evade.
Usage: The surgery wasn’t what scared the sick man, it was all of the medical bills he would incur from the procedure.
6.XENOPHOBIC (adjective) अज्ञातजन भीति/ विदेशी द्वेश
Meaning: having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.
Synonyms: racist, racialist, ethnocentric, ethnocentrist.
Antonyms: bountiful, permissive, thoughtful, lenient.
Usage: As a result, the new parliament is distinctly more xenophobic and illiberal than its predecessor.
7. APARTHEID (noun) रंगभेद
Meaning: a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race.
Synonyms: prejudice, bias, bigotry, favoritism.
Antonyms: antidiscrimination, antiracism, antisegregation, assimilationism.
Usage: Incredibly, a decade after the end of apartheid this system still exists.
8.VEST (verb) निहित होना
Meaning: confer or bestow (power, authority, property, etc.) on someone.
Synonyms: entrust, invest, bestow, confer.
Antonyms: impede, inhibit, disqualify, disbar.
Usage: Extensive powers were vested into the hands of the President who headed the executive branch of government.
9.BLATANT (adjective) प्रबल
Meaning: (of bad behavior) done openly and unashamedly.
Synonyms: flagrant, glaring, undisguised, overt.
Antonyms: imperceptible, inconspicuous, unnoticeable, unobtrusive.
Usage: To credit the newspaper, they did retract the quote once it was exposed as a blatant lie.
10.MURKY(Adjective)धुंधला
Meaning: dark and dirty or difficult to see through
Synonyms: cloudy, dark
Antonyms: bright, luminous
Example: The river was brown and murky after the storm.
