Classification of Bank Holidays in Rajasthan
The above table of bank holidays could be classified into three categories as described below:
Annual Closing of Banks: On April 1, all the bank and its branches are closed as the annual bank closing day.
Holidays Under Negotiable Instruments Act: Under this act, if any maturity date clashes with any bank holiday, then all the pending dues of that day are shifted to the next day and it will be counted as the due date. In Rajasthan, 26 January, 21 February, 10 March, 2 April, 6 April, 3 August, 12 August, 14 November, and 30 November comes under this act and the banks remain closed on these days.
Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross: Settlement Holiday: Under this act, the RTGs are not applicable in any of the bank or its branches and the dates that comes under this act are 14 April, 25 May, 1 August, 15 August, 2 October, and 25 December.
