1. United Nations’ (UN) World Refugee Day was observed on June 20 each year. The theme for this year’s Refugee Day was ‘Restoring Hope’.

4. Air India forms implementation and anomaly rectification committee to implement Dharmadhikari Committee’s recommendations.
NOTE: – Dharmadhikari panel was set up to lay the roadmap for the vital HR integration of the two airlines Air India and Indian Airlines. 
The committee, in its report has suggested that in order to remain in the competitive field, Air India will have to be in line with the international aviation industry benchmarks.

10. Union Labour Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge inaugurated the country’s first Apex Hi-Tech Institute in Bangalore today. The total cost of project was 32 crore, the institute will train master trainers of ITIs and other vocational training institutes of the country.

13. Calcutta High Court today held the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Act, 2011 as unconstitutional and void. The legislation enabled the government to recover the disputed Singur land from Tata Motors, who was leased 997 acre of land at Singur in Hooghly district by previous left front government in the state.
14. Army has stopped entertaining those candidates for recruitment who have engraved tattoos on their bodies. This has been done by the Indian Army to shun those supporting unnatural personal identity marks.
15. An Indian Industrial delegation arrives on a five day visit to Muscat today to explore the opportunities for new business and industrial collaboration with Omani counterparts.
