1.Caucus: a group of people with shared concerns within a political party or larger organization.    
Synonyms: faction, camp, group
Usage: “he has been driven into Euro-scepticism by the right-wing caucus in the cabinet” 

2.Tantalize: torment or tease (someone) with the sight or promise of something that is unobtainable.  
Synonyms:  tease, torment, torture, bait
Usage: “such ambitious questions have long tantalized the world’s best thinkers”
3. Macerate: cause to waste away by fasting, become softened.   
 Synonyms: squash, soften, liquefy
 Usage: “these men lodged in tombs and macerated themselves with fasting”
4. Compatriot: a fellow citizen or national of a country. 
Synonyms: countryman, countrywoman, fellow citizen
Usage: “Edward defeated his compatriot Reynolds in the final”
5. Antipathy: a deep-seated feeling of aversion.  
Synonyms: hostility, antagonism, animosity

6. Commiserate: express or feel sympathy or pity; sympathize.

7. Reverberate: (of a loud noise) be repeated several times as an echo.

8. Skeptical: not easily convinced; having doubts or reservations   
Synonyms: dubious, doubtful, having reservations
Usage: “the public were deeply sceptical about some of the proposals”
9. Spurious: not being what it purports to be; false or fake.    
Synonyms: bogus, fake, not genuine, specious
Usage: “separating authentic and spurious claims”
10. Reticent: not revealing one’s thoughts or feelings readily.   
Synonyms: reserved, withdrawn, introverted

Usage: “Mr. Adams was extremely reticent about his personal affairs”
