How was IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam 2016 |_2.1

IBPS introduced preliminary examination for RRB Office Assistant 2016. Only two sections were asked in the prelims exam: Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Reasoning Section was very relaxing last year because of the fewer number of puzzles. Mathematics too was easy for those who practice and moderate for new attempters. The questions asked were easy to do but were time-consuming. IBPS releases state-wise cut-off for RRB Office Assistant. If we talk about last year’s cut off, it was comparatively high, possibly the highest in 2016, as the questions asked were of easy to moderate level. Note that it can vary as per the difficulty level of the examination.

If we talk about mains examination, it was of moderate level. General Awareness section was quite easy for those who knew banking terms. Most of the questions asked were from Bankers Adda Capsule only. The questions were mainly based on Banking Awareness, Static Awareness, and Current affairs. Many of you must be in a predicament about choosing one language subject out of two. The two language subjects are English and Hindi Language. If we talk about last year, candidates who opted for the Hindi Language scored more marks in the language section as compared to those who opted for the English Language as English Language test was comparatively difficult. But it’s only up to you. If you think you can do better in the English Language then go with that only. Mathematics Section was of a moderate level and time-consuming as well. So, all that you need to do is practice so as you can solve the questions within the given time limit. Computers Section was easy. Only basics of computers and its history were asked. Reasoning Section was of moderate level. It followed the usual IBPS Pattern but was not as difficult as IBPS PO.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Cut off 2016:

States Maximum Marks Cut off (General)
Haryana 80 70
Bihar 80 62.75
UttarPradesh 80 64.75
Gujarat 80 55.50
Odisha 80 67.75
But students, note that the difficulty level of the IBPS RRB examination has never been too high, but this year, as the difficulty level of all other bank examinations has only increased, you can expect difficult questions in prelims as well as mains examination. You must have noticed how the pattern of all the banking examinations has changed dramatically this year, so, one cannot expect the same pattern of only two subjects this year too. There is a possibility that a few more sections can be included in the prelims examination this year. Being aware of the pattern of examination is not enough as the pattern of examination keeps changing. So, what you need to do is that you need to prepare as per a level that is a few steps ahead of the level of the previous examination.
