Venue: Kolkata
I wore a plain shirt and dark grey suit, and I reached the venue at 8:15. Then we were all taken to the conference room for document verification, the candidates were divided into three panels of twenty-five students each. Once the documentation was being done then the candidates were asked to appear for biometric verification. They served us tea and biscuits.
My interview started from 11:30 and lasted for 12 to 14 mins. There were five members in my panel consisting of four males and one female, all are aged 55+. 
Following the details of my interview experience-
Me– may I come in?
F1– come in(with the smile).
Me– good morning madam, good morning sir.
F1– good morning and take a seat (other panel members wished me as well)
After few seconds of silence while they going through my application details,
M1– how can we pronounce your name and what is the meaning of it?
Me– told 
F1– when did you come here to the city?
Me– I came here a few days back because I needed to take out some documents from my institution.
M2– where are you from?
Me– told
M3– your hometown is recently in the news, why is it?
Me-told in details
M3– from which college you completed your graduation and in which subject?
Me-told institution’s name and course b.com honors in finance and accounts.
M2– oh! Your college is one of the best colleges in the city,
Me– yes sir, it came in top 15 all over India and on top in the city.
M2– then, why didn’t you go for further studies? 
Me– I told about financial problems in my family and I told them that I will do masters when I get a job from distance education. 
M3– so, you are commerce students then, what is a contingent liability and where it will appear in the balance sheet?
Me–  sir, it is an item which may or may not appear in future and it’s uncertain. So this will not appear in balance sheet but we need to show this below the balance sheet in notes.
M1– what is supermarket banking?
Me– is means where all services are available within the one single branch.
M1– give me the example.
Me– told like lending and deposits, cheque and DD services… Then I said sorry I don’t remember further.
M2– what are golden rules of accounting?
Me– I explained in details. 
Personal account- debit, the receiver and credit, the giver.
Real account- debit what comes in and credit what goes out
Nominal account- debit, all expense and loss, credit, all income, and gains.
F1-what is the difference between liquidity and insolvency? 
Me-I explained liquidity means closing or winding up of a company but I forgot about solvency and said sorry I don’t remember.
M4-suppose you are in a rural branch with only one clerk, so how will you promote you bank and how will you work?
Me– I explained then but they need one main example then I said sorry I didn’t get you question well.
F1– You think about it later and you can go now.
Me-Thank you madam, thank you, sir.
                                   
I am a silent reader of this page and this was my first interview experience. I have gone through most of the interview experiences from this page and it helped me a lot.
