Direction (1-5): In each question, the word at the top is used in five different ways, numbered to a to e, Choose the option in which the usage of the word is INCORRECT or INAPPROPRIATE.

Q1. Work

Q4. Call
(a) He called them out over awarding contracts to family members.
(b) He called the speaker on several mis-statements of fact.
(c) The concert had to be called in because the singer went down with a bad case of the flu.
(d) I must call her back when we get to the office
(e) The Opposition party called for the minister's resignation after the scandal broke.

Q5. Blow
(a) The scandal blew over within a fortnight when the press found someone else to attack.
(b) The bomb blew up without any warning.
(c) He blew off in front of everybody
(d) She blew the candles out on her birthday cake
(e) A tree was blow out in the storm.

Work over- Repeat, do again.
Work through -Deal with, resolve a problem, often emotional.

Sol. Act out- Express an emotion in your behavior
Act on- Affect.
Act up- Behave badly or strangely.
Act upon- Affect.

S3. Ans.(d)
Sol. Belong with- Be in the correct or appropriate location with other items. Hence, Does this disc belong with those on the shelf?
Belong to -Be connected to a time, place, belief, thing, etc.
 Belong to- Be a member

S4. Ans.(c)
Sol. The concert had to be CALLED OFF because the singer went down with a bad case of flu.
Call off- Cancel.
Call on -Challenge
Call back- Return a phone call
Call for Demand.

S5. Ans.(e)
Sol. Blow down-When the wind forces something to fall. A tree was BLOWN DOWN in the storm
