Students, the important point to be noted here is that RBI has introduced sectional timing in the mains examination this year. This will prove to be beneficial for the candidates who will appear in the examination as one gets enough of time to solve the questions of any particular section he/she is good at. Another important examination that will be taking place after mains examination is LPT i.e. Language Proficiency Test. Here the conducting board will be testing if the candidate knows the local language of the region he/she is applying from. The LPT will be qualifying in nature, but the important point to be noted here is that the candidate who fails in this test will be disqualified immediately. So, try to fill up the form from the state in which the language that is spoken is known to you.

Reasoning Ability

Reasoning Ability is an onerous section. With the increasing complexity of questions, it becomes hard for one to give it the cold shoulder. Earlier students used to have a mindset of ignoring the complex puzzles, thereby solving the other questions that were comparatively easy. But to their dismay, this strategy won’t be working anymore as so many questions from the other topics like directions, etc. are being asked in the form of puzzles only. The only way to make the grade in this particular section in the forthcoming exam of RBI Assistant 2017 is to practice continuously with all your heart and soul. Following is the syllabus of Reasoning Ability for RBI Assistant 2017 Examination:

  • Puzzles

Quantitative Aptitude

This section has always been giving the aspirants heebie-jeebies when they appear for any examination. As the level of every other section is only getting complex and convoluted, there is no doubt that this section too will be making your blood run cold. As per the analysis of previous examinations, the questions asked in this section are calculative and very time consuming. Data Interpretation and topics from arithmetic section make it hard for one to deal with the section as easily as any other section. The level of questions asked in the RBI Assistant Examination has  been moderate to difficult. Following is the syllabus of Quantitative Aptitude for RBI Assistant 2017 Examination:

English Language

The questions asked in this section can be easily handled if your basics are clear. Sometimes, even those who can communicate very well in English, fail to perform to the best of their ability in competitive exams. Instead of boiling the ocean, try building up a strong vocabulary, an effective knowledge of grammar, and efficient comprehension skills so as to be on the ball to face this particular section. Following is the syllabus of English Language for RBI Assistant 2017 Examination:

So much is happening around the globe every day that unless you keep yourself abreast of these updates you cannot adjust yourself to deal with the GA section of any exam smoothly and easily. The questions asked in last year's General Awareness Section were mainly based on Banking Awareness, Static Awareness, and Current Affairs. Unless one knows the historical background or the geographical location of the events reported, they will convey little of value of importance. In short, one must bring to the reading of newspapers an educated mind, an informed judgment, and an essentially critical understanding, if they are to serve any purpose in the forthcoming competitive examinations.
