SSC JE 2017: Notification, Exam Dates, Pattern & Syllabus

SSC JE is a very reputed exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission of India every year to recruit candidates to the post of Junior Engineer in various Government Ministries/Organization. SSC JE 2017 will be conducted from 22nd to 25th January 2018. SSC JE Notification stating the Exam Dates, Syllabus & Pattern was released on 20th October 2017. The Online Application for this exam started on 20th Oct and ended on 17th Nov 2017.

SSC JE Notification was released on 20th October 2017 by Staff Selection Commission of India. Post release of official Notification, SSC JE Recruitment Process started.

SSC JE Exam Dates

SSC JE Exam Pattern


SSC JE will be conducted in two phases : Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I will constitute of 200 marks to be completed in 2 hours and Paper-II will constitute of 300 marks to be completed in 2 hours. Let's have a look at the detailed Exam Pattern for both these papers.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria


To be eligible for SSC JE 2017 Exam, a candidate must fall into the following three categories.

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India
  • Candidate must fall under the required age limit.

SSC JE Result


Staff Selection Commission will be declaring SSC JE Result 10-15 days post exam conduction. SSC JE Result will be released first for Paper-1 and then for Paper-2. The final Result will determine the candidate's selection to the post of Junior Engineer.

SSC JE Admit Card


SSC JE 2017 Admit Card will be released 10-15 days before the commencement of each level of exam. Admit Card for Tier-I exam will be released first followed by Admit Card for Tier-II Exam. Candidates are required to download their Admit Card and carry it with themselves to the Exam Centre.
