SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process

The SSC CHSL Selection Process has two-tier examinations, both are Computer Based, they are:

  • Tier I (Pre)
  • Tier II (Mains)

Note: The Tier II Stage include objective test, skill test, and typing test. The Skill Test is for the Data Entry Operator(DEO) and Typing Test is for LDC (Lower Division Clerk), and JSA(Junior Secretariat Assistant).

The time period allotted for the complete test is 60 minutes(1 Hour).

SSC CHSL Negative Marking Scheme

To prevent the candidates from wild guessing and biasedness in the exam, there is a negative marking for the SCC CHSL examination for both tiers.

  • For Tier I: Negative marking of 0.50 marks i.e. one-fourth (2 marks for each right answer) for each answer marked wrong.
  • For Tier II: 1 mark i.e. one-third (3 marks for each right answer) shall be deducted for each answer marked wrong.
