RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria: Reserve Bank of India has announced its vacancies for grade B officers, and its official notification will be released on 28 January 2021 on its official website. All the students who are preparing for the government bank examination will have a great opportunity for this post. There is a total of 322 Vacancies for various posts that are:
1) Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General: 270
2) Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR: 29
3) Officers in Grade ‘B’ ( DR) – DSIM: 23
Although, the posts are tentative in nature and RBI can anytime amend them. So, it is advised to all the aspirants to regularly visit the official website. The registration process will start on 28 January 2021 and will last up to 15 February 2021.
RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2021
RBI Grade B age limits:
All the candidates who have attained the age of 21 years and do not exceed the age of 30 years are eligible for the RBI Grade B examination.
Whereas, for the candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications for them the upper age limit will be 32 years and 34 years respectively.
RBI Grade B educational qualification 2021
There are the different educational qualification for different posts which are :
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General)
Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.
• Any such course from a recognized University / Institute that is taken after Class XIIth and is at least of 3 years’ duration / candidates possessing professional or technical qualifications which are recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination, subject to obtaining minimum marks prescribed above.
• Candidates who have passed the Final Examination for Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India may also apply for the post, subject to obtaining minimum marks prescribed above.
• Any such course from a recognized University / Institute that is taken after Graduation and is at least of 2 years’ duration / recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical Post-Graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination, subject to obtaining minimum marks prescribed above.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR
Essential qualification: A master’s degree in Economics/ Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized university.
PGDM/MBA finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized university.
Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized university.
SC/ST/PWD candidates having 50% marks from a recognized university in the master’s degree examination are eligible to apply for the posts.
Desirable Qualification: A Doctorate Degree in Economics or research or teaching experience in Economics or publications in standard journals would be considered as an additional qualification.
Candidates having M.Phil. Degree and Doctorate Degree from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by 2 years and 4 years respectively.
Candidates having a Master’s Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of a number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM
A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years; OR
Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR
M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years; OR
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Note: For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, the minimum marks required in Master’s Degree as in items (a), (b), (c), and (d) above is 50% or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years.
Candidates with a Doctorate in topics related to the above subjects will be given preference.
Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as an additional qualification.
The above mentioned were the minimum educational qualification and the age limit who can apply for the post. The exam will be conducted in 3 phase, phase 1 and phase 2 will be online examination whereas phase 3 will be of interview round, all those candidates who will qualify for the first phase and second phase examination will be eligible for the interview round.
