SBI Clerk 2014 – Exam Analysis – 19th July (Evening Session)

The State Bank of India conducted on-line examination for the very first time, for the recruitment of Clerk, across the country on the 19th July 2014 – Evening Session.  Please find below the analysis of today’s evening session paper.

There were 200 questions in the objective paper, which had to be answered in 135 minutes. There were four sections in all – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness + Computer Knowledge + Marketing Awareness. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question for all the sections.
Overall the examination was Easy. The questions in Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English were a bit lengthy but can be solved easily. That’s exactly the point where results might make a difference. Computer Knowledge, Marketing Awareness and General Awareness sections were easy.

The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy/ Moderate. Questions were as follows-

English Language
The level of this question is Moderate based. The section comprised of questions based on –

Quantitative Aptitude

The level of the paper was easy/moderate. The question were asked on the following topics –

  • Time and Work
  • Time and Distance

General Awareness
This section was quite easy. The questions were asked on the following topics –

  • Important days
  • Headquarters of UN

  • Counsel Ministers of New Govt
  • Indian Budget

Computer Knowledge/Marketing Awareness

This section was bit difficult to solve and the level was difficult.
  • Computer Knowledge – Really very easy and basic question.
  • Marketing Awareness – The questions asked in the Marketing were very difficult. They were application based and were difficult to understand.

NOTE – The analysis is exactly same as the morning shift. The pattern of questions asked  and the level of difficulty was exactly same.
