What are the posts available under this recruitment project?
The post which will be available in this recruitment project is SBI Probationary Officer.

When will be the exam conducted?
The Tentative dates for Preliminary Exams are expected to be on 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10 July 2016.
The Tentative dates for Mains Exam are expected to be on 31st July 2016.

When will the result be declared?
Tentative Date for declaration of Results for Preliminary is expected to be announced on 18th July 2016.
Tentative Date for declaration of Results for Mains is expected to be announced on 16th August 2016.
Final results will be declared on 30th September 2016.

Will there be any interview after the written result?
Yes, as per the notification the Interview and the Group Discussion will be conducted on 1st September. The ratio of Written Exam (250) and Interview (50) is 75:25

Will the exam conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Common Written Exam for SBI PO will be conducted online (Both Prelims and Mains).

What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e candidates must have been born on 02.04.1986 or later and before  or on 01.04.1995 (both days inclusive).

What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

I have given my final year graduation exams but the result has not been declared yet. Can I apply?
Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2016.

What is the application Fee?
Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. 
Rs. 600 /- for all others 

When will the registration start?
Registration will start from 4th May 2016 and will end on 24th May 2016

I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.

I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
You must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on as on 01.04.2016.

How to calculate the Percentage?
The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

What is the Structure of the exam?
SBI has introduced some changes in the Mains exam. This will be the first time when the section will be locked for that particular time and students will have to wait before he proceeds.

Is the exam Bilingual?
The tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cutoff for SBI Probationary Officer. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Your final score is calculated based on your performance in the written test and the interview.

Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?
Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear every section in order to secure a seat for the Interview.

I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general knowledge section. Am I still eligible?
Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section individually and the overall cutoff as well.

Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.

What is the pattern of score in SBI Probationary Officer Exam?
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.
