Success Story : Believe: "If not us, who? If not now, when?" |_2.1Hi friends ,I am Harjot Singh Takkar and I am a silent reader of Bankersadda. Story begins when I completed my engineering in IT in 2014. Mostly, all my friends were getting jobs in campus placements but, I skipped and decided to go for govt. sector exam preparation.

My Failure….

My exams in 2014…..
SBI PO– 60; not cleared…
RRB PO- 90 ; not called for interview
SIDBI Assistant Manager– not cleared
SBI Associate PO not cleared
IBPS PO-78( cutoff-82)
RBI assistant-140 (cut off-162)
IBPS CLERK- called for interview but not able to make it to final list
SBI Associate Clerk– not cleared

I felt demotivated and frustrated. My relatives told me to get a private job. Some people told me that you wont get govt. job as you don’t have enough abilities. At one point, I decided to quit as I thought I am not capable to clear these exams. No one was there to guide me. Then after few days, I thought about it again and decided to dedicate 1 more year to clear these exams and if I will not be successful , I will get myself a private job. This time, I was very determined and focused. I became anti social for few months and decided not to waste time and deactivated my facebook account and uninstalled whatsapp. At the same time, I came to know about bankersadda from a friend. BA provided very valuable study material which increased my knowledge to a very large extent. I also gave regular online tests through career power online test series. These regular tests helped me to identify my weak areas, which then I improved, which in turn improved my scores……

Now my scores in exams in 2015-
SBI PO – Cleared Prelims but failed in mains by 0.25 marks
RBI assistant-162(cut off 170)
SIDBI Assistant Manager– 157.5 (cut off 162.75)
RRB PO-142 ; Selected in BGB
RRB Assistant-148.69; Selected in Malwa Gramin Bank
IBPS PO-103; selected in Union Bank of India
IBPS CLERK– 154; selected in UCO Bank from Chandigarh region

So friends, if I had quit in 2015 after my poor results , I could never have got 4 gov. jobs in 2016. Believe in God, never loose hope and keep on doing hard work, hard work will surely pay off. Stay away from negative people who tell you that you can’t do it. Just slap them by your results later on. For such negative people, I have composed two lines –
“Vo Kehte rahe aur kehte rahenge ke Tumse kuch nahi hoga, Humne bhi keh diya unse ke agar humse nahi hoga , to aur kya Tumse hoga”

At last, my sincere thanks to BA and Guneet mam.
All the best to all friends ….
