I am a silent reader of bankers adda. After completing my graduation (B.Tech – ECE) in 2013 I have done M.Tech with the view that I may get a good job in my profession weather it is related to teaching or corporate world. But the fate was not on my side. No jobs were available in core sector. So during my post-graduation I actually came to know about all these papers and I gave my first paper for the post of P.O. in November 2014 without any preparation. At that point of time I did not even know the type and number of questions. So as expected I failed.
Then I decided to prepare for next exam and took coaching. Then there was SBI PO exam 2015. I prepared hard for it, but missed it with 2.50 marks.  Then I gave the examination for IBPS RRB officer and RRB assistant and finally got selected in it. That was my first success.
After IBPS RRB my main motive was to clear IBPS PO. I always believed that I can do it. So I made it to the finals. After the interview I was pretty much sure that I will get selected and this became true.
Finally I got selected as Syndicate bank PO. Wow!!! I was on cloud nine at this moment. That was a great day (1 April 2016). I was selected in PNB for clerk position. This achievement felt great. Especially when I saw pride in eyes of my parents, my success became double.
Books and strategies followed
For quantitative aptitude:
To have a strong command on this part, I practiced it for one month.
My guidance to you will be that you should first understand the concept than do basic questions and slowly move towards complex ones. I solved RS Aggarwal thoroughly. Then I used to solve handouts which I got from our institute, daily quizzes form bankers adda and various question from question banks online. After one month I gained enough confidence in quant. Also being from an engineering background, my mathematics was good. So guys practice in the key to success in this section. Practice daily.
For reasoning I did not follow any specific book. Just practice it during my coaching time. Also the quizzes from bankers adda’s site. I believe that quant and reasoning are my strength.  In the exam reasoning was quite difficult. Many students failed in it. But my suggestion is that practice more puzzles and during exam don’t waste much of time on any question.
For computers I did not study from a specific book as I am from engineering background.
And for English, guys please start reading. Read anything (newspaper, story book, novel). Just build a habit of reading. Then go for vocab. I used to read The Hindu and The Tribune and I used to note down the difficult words in my note book. Believe me It helped me a lot. It helped in every section of English (RC, Fill up, Para Jumble)
For Gk I used to read daily, weekly, monthly and overall capsule form bankers adda and from some other sites.  I guess this is enough for bank exam preparation.
My Time management for different sections during exam
1. GK 10 -12 mins
2. Computer 5 mins
3. English 20- 25 mins
4. Reasoning 35-40 mins
And I spent remaining time on quantitative aptitude.
Last suggestion- Do buy any of the online test series as it helps a lot in time management and for self evaluation.
So guys, competition is very high. Don’t get distracted from failure. Give your best. Success will be yours.
Wish you all good luck.
