SUCCESS STORY: Life always gives you a second chance |_2.1

Dear Readers,

I am a regular follower of bankersadda. All the help I got from this platform was incredible and I would like to thank everyone for that. It is a great opportunity for me to tell the future aspirants about my story.

After completing B.E. in 2014, I was not able to land a job in the core sector (Mechanical). So, I decided to concentrate on government or public sector. After college I started preparing for IBPS PO and CLERK examination.

My first attempt was in 2014. I cleared both PO and CLERK written exam and was called for interview. Simultaneously I also cleared the written exam of SBI Associate PO. When I went for interview for PO, they told me that I was not eligible for the interview as my final semester marks sheet had a date which was 10 days later to the date they were asking. I showed them an internet printout of my result, uploaded on the university’s website but they didn’t accept it and said that original copy cannot be overlooked. I ended up missing that golden opportunity.

I do not believe in a fate that will fall on us no matter what we do.
I do believe in a fate that will fall on us if we do nothing…hence I kept trying

On the other hand I was allowed to appear in interview in IBPS Clerk and SBI Associate PO. My IBPS Clerk interview went well but SBI Associate was not so good. At the end I got selected in PNB through IBPS Clerk. My joining was in August, so in the mean time I took SBI PO exam. Again I cleared the exam and was called for interview. This time I cleared the interview but missed the final merit list by 0.2%. Never the less I continued my preparation for IBPS PO, doubling my efforts, solving set papers after coming home from the bank (as I joined PNB by that time). My written exam went very well and so did my interview. I was hopeful of getting placed in a good bank and fortunately got PNB.

To all the aspirants, I would like to say never quit, you will always get another chance, just be prepared for that and take it with both hands.

What’s meant to be will always find a way…
We should never stop trying to achieve it…

Sincerely,
Pratyush Anand
