Hi fellow aspirants,

I just wanted to share my happiness with you all so that you all can know how focus, hard work and determination all pays off in the end.

I completed my B.tech in the year 2013 and started preparing for GATE like so many others. My elder sister got Allahabad Bank Clerk that year. She got her training that year and we all went to drop her. That was the turning point of my life. I don’t know what I felt that day. But I somewhat lost my focus for Gate as I was already not succeeding in it. So I appeared that year in IBPS PO 2013 and in IBPS CLERK 2013 with almost no preparation.
In 2013 I got:

IBPS PO- 59 (cut off was 61): not selected
IBPS CLERK – 116(cut off was 101 in up): Appeared in Interview but was not selected.
From April 2014, I started preparing seriously because I knew it in my heart that I had not tried properly in 2013. All this preparation in 2013 and 2014 was done without any coaching and everything was self study. Meanwhile my elder sister got Canara Bank P.O. and that made me want a banking job even more desperately.

In 2014 I appeared for:

SBI PO 2014: Not cleared written
SBI CLERK 2014: Not cleared written
RRB PO 2014: Written score 125 (I did not get any Interview Call)
RRB CLERK 2014: Written score 152 (I did not get any Interview Call)
IBPS PO 2014: Written score 84 (Cut off was 82): Not cleared
IBPS CLERK 2014: Written score 143 (Cut off was 116, UP): In reserve list

Though I knew that I would not be selected in P.O., I had high hopes for IBPS clerk. I had 27 marks above cutoff. Even if I got a job in one year, sitting at home doing nothing really broke me. But here’s the best part, I CONVERTED ALL MY ANGER AND FRUSTRATION INTO HARD WORK. I had so much anger in me at being let down that day and night I thought of IBPS as a target that I had to hit in the bull’s eye. I joined CAREER POWER for coaching this time and it really helped me.
I never lost focus.
I never thought what I would do if I didn’t get a job this year.
I just thought that I had to do it.
If not this then what, If not now then when.

I read all the motivational stories on BA, read success stories, memorized them and worked according to them. Friends, if you want to succeed BA is your best guide. Do all their quizzes even if you think they are never helping you ‘coz they do help you in the long run.
In 2015:

SBI PO 2015: cleared pre but was rejected in mains
RRB PO 2015: 124.88 in written: GOT UTTAR BIHAR GRAMEEN BANK IN SCALE 1
RRB CLERK 2015: 126.81 in written: Not selected
IBPS PO 2015: Pre: 64, Written: 104: SELECTED IN SYNDICATE BANK AS PO
IBPS CLERK 2015: Pre: 94.25, Written: 144.25: Not selected, IN RESERVE LIST
IBPS CLERK 2014 RESERVE LIST: SELECTED IN PNB

I know that the story became a little long but I never really posted anything on BA so I wanted to make up for that. Even if 1 person gets motivated by this, I’ll be happy.

I know some people will think this is some kind of show off and I myself was very dejected last year this time but success stories gave me strength at that time. If others could do it even I can do it.
PLEASE DON’T QUIT AFTER A SMALL FAILURE BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE WILL VERY SOON COME AND TAKE YOUR PLACE AND YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO RISE TO THE SAME SPOT AGAIN.
I want to close it with some lines that always give me strength:

“Tukdon mein bikhra andhera
Chamka sitara jo tera
Ambar pe aa dastkhat kar de
Tu ab talak tha adhoora
Hone hi wala hai poora
Hadd se guzar ja tu hadd kar de
Hai chaah toh hai raasta
Ye jaan le zara
Mumkeen nahin hai kya agar
Tu thaan le zara”
