Superheros are not born – they are made!

Dear Readers,
Superheros are not born – they are made! |_2.1
All of you fall into a situation of ‘If’ many times in your life. This ‘If’ leads many to failures. But it is not necessary that ‘If’ will lead to failure always, ‘If’ can lead you to success also. And this difference between failure or success due to ‘If’ depends only on your approach on how do you take this ‘If’ in your life. Being students you fail many times in the examination and you feel that you could not do because you do not get time to study, your surroundings are not supportive, If you could have a better primary education you could crack the exams easily right now, If you had good financial condition then you could do many a things and many more ‘If’s’ come in life. But speaking is easy and doing is difficult. And those who take this ‘If’ positively and work for it become finally successful. Every successful person has many ‘If’s’ in their life. So, we are starting this “If..? – that creates winners” series. Today we will discuss the same by taking the example of Bollywood superstar “BIG – B”………….Yes! You are right! It’s “Amitabh Bacchan”. Even after facing many odd and evens in the entire life he never gave up and hence proved that Superheros are not born – they are made”.

Accepting failure is very difficult, but one who does that and identifies that what were the cause of failure either goes to the unimaginable heights or makes someone else to achieve that. Although it is praiseworthy that you can mitigate your hunger yourself, but it becomes great thing if you mitigate someone else’s.

Superheros are not born – they are made! |_3.1Everyone dreams in his childhood to become something when he will enter his young age. You too must have dreamed a lot. But, dreams are those which are seen with open eyes, rest all are illusion! If you you dream, you should work on that. And it is not neccessary all the time that you become what you have dreamed in your childhood. Sometimes, gods plans are better than yours. But he plans only for whom who have a tendency to work hard wherever they go. And it is only you who will search the thing you actually want to do in your life. He can give you food, but you yourself have to take the food in your mouth using your hands.
“Sirf childhood dreams se kuch nai hota, sometime you have to choose what you want to do and then u have to devote urself in that”
Superheros are not born – they are made! |_4.1Similarly, Inspired by his mother Teji Bacchan, Amitabh too developed an interest in performing in theatre in his childhood. It can be said theMotivation is needed.. It can be anyone. So, for you also it can be anyone” But Amitabh had never thought to become an actor and come on the large screens of Indian and World Chinemas. Just like a normal person, in the beginning he also had thought to earn some money for livelihood and live happily. So, after completing his education in Delhi, Amitabh went to streets of Kolkata to work as a freight broker. But considerations of livelihood and a regular pay at the end of the month was no compensation for what his heart desired. And his obstinacy became more powerful than his needs. By 1968, young Amit had decided to give it all up, because Amitabh Bachchan wanted to spend his life doing what he wanted to do and he wanted to act.

“Sometimes money doesn’t matter?? Matter is what u want to do?? If you are enjoying what you are doing, you will easily able to do well in your life”

Superheros are not born – they are made! |_5.1Also,many times u all have to leave one place to reach other, in your career also you have to decide do you really want to be In govt sector or u are going there for just doing a JOB. But many a times it also happens that what you have never thought of comes suddenly in your life and give you immense success. That is the opportunity. And it is only you who has to decide whether you have to grab that opportunity or not. Also, if u are studying just “ke exam nikal jaae” then u will never able to Clear the exam? Make your efforts so much that you never regret in your life that –

“If…..you would have studied a bit more then…………..! Because LIFE IS NOT A REHEARSAL!!”

Superheros are not born – they are made! |_6.1For some time it seemed that Amitabh’s unconventional looks and great height and deep baritone would see him make his way back to a life of dejection. Every filmmaker that he approached thought he was too tall at 6 feet 3 inches. They thought him a bit too dark to be exposed on film.  Even he was rejected by the All India Radio after an audition test. The same thing may happen with you at times. Think what you do or what will you do in that situation?

Amitabh used uniqueness which was being criticized by others as his strong trait.

“Sometimes Uniqueness will not work immediately but if u really wants to achieve something it will surely help you in achieving that”

Then in 1969, when Amitabh was on the verge of giving it all up, came his break as Khwaja Ahmed Abbas cast Amitabh in Saat Hindustani and Bachchan was one of the seven. He won his first National Award as the best newcomer and so took wings the amazing acting career of one who would be the Big B in Bollywood.
“Luck needed but for the Luck to work you have to do a lot of thing so that it can come to you”

The person who really wants to do something different will always succeed.

Amitabh accepted any role he got at that time and performed his best, he never thought like I will do only if I get that kind of role or this kind of role. Time marked a new beginning in Amitabh’s life. Hindi cinema now had its angry young man. And riding the waves of the popularity of this particular typecast began a remarkable journey of fame and success.

“Experiment and to do something new is always needed.”

Time passed and every film producer knew that if he cast Amitabh Bachchan in his film, he had a hit. From being a sidelight on the scene, Amitabh Bachchan had transformed to become the undisputed king of the celluloid world. His screen persona reflected the angst of the 1970.

“Problems are a part of everyone’s life, what is required is the WILL POWER TO FACE IT”

But then when he was at the height of his popularity, there came a hiccup in his career and his life. On the sets of Coolie, Amitabh was seriously injured while filming a fight sequence. He was rushed to the hospital and initial reports said that the injury was serious, even life-threatening. His fans were devastated. They feared for him and all across the country people prayed that the almighty would return their icon to them. Amitabh made a stable recovery and after some initial questions about his continuance in Bollywood, the superstar returned to reign at the top.

Ups and Downs can come in anyone’s life. Time doesn’t considers that he/she is a good person or bad person, he/she is a rich person or poor person….nothing! But if you are a determined person, then you will be able to overcome that time because nothing is static in this world….and hence ……..neither good time nor bad time!

In the year 2000, when the entire world was celebrating the new century, Amitabh was celebrating his disastrous fortune. There were no films, no money, no company, a million legal cases against and the tax authorities had put notice of recovery on his home

The situation looked even more dire when a high-profile multimedia production company launched in the mid-Nineties, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd. (ABCL), was done in by a series of commercial miscalculations. Most of his Nineties films were not successful, which seemed to confirm the widespread suspicion that Bachchan was a spent force. He was not easy to replace: in the mid-Nineties it took all three of The Three Khans (Aamir, Shah Rukh, and Salman) to fill the vacuum created when The Big B dropped off the A List.
Bachchan was able to work his way back into the limelight toward the end of the decade with a run that, when first announced, sounded like a comedown prompted by financial desperation: appearing as the host on Kaun Banega Karorepati, the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? And then, in the steamroller hits of the first phase of his comeback, such as Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein  and Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Bachchan reinvented himself as an imposing patriarchal figurehead of Hindu Family Values. A new generation of Indian moviegoers saluted his screen image by shouting out not quotations from his movies but his popular catchphrase as a TV quizmaster, “Lock kiya jaye?”

So, he proved that learning never stops. When you stop learning you are dead!

By this incidence, we want to make you understand that;

Accept failure, but never give up. You have to keep trying and sometimes you have to do something new also.”

Now lets see what can we learn from Mr. Amitabh Bacchan’s life?

“Don’t take no for an answer

Accept failure, but never give up

Learn from everyone

Give everything your 100 per cent
You may be rich and famous, but you’re never above anyone
Give back to society
Respect thy parents
Have respect for other people’s time and always be punctual”

Some words of Amitabh are really inspirational –

“We all go through these phases, peaks and troughs are what life is all about. I have been in a situation where I was at the lowest ebb in my life – professionally, commercially and personally. In order not to give up the moment, I was operating on the principle that the Corporation (ABCL, or Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd) must not die, I had to ensure that I paid back every sow that I owed to a vast army of people. I felt it wasn’t ethically right not to return the money.”

RETURN FROM THE ABYSS

Against this backdrop, Amitabh Bachchan clawed back from the abyss of gloom. He paid back over Rs 90 crore he owed to different people, slowly and gradually. Remembering those days, he said, “I paid back one and all, including Doordarshan. When they asked for the interest component, I did commercials in lieu for them. I can never forget how creditors used to land at our door, be abusive, threatening and demanding, and worse still, when they came for ‘kudkee’ at Prateeksha, our residence.

“It is only my conscience that kept me going,” the legendary actor said. “Many businessmen and financial advisers told me that I should give up ABCL and start a new life. But somewhere I felt that I owe people money. People had put faith in ABCL because of my name. Therefore, I could not let it go easily.”

When Star Plus came to him with this project in 2000, even Bachchan couldn’t have anticipated its popularity. It resulted in an overnight craze and the creation of a brand new medium in Indian television. Most importantly, a whole new audience rediscovered Amitabh Bachchan, a new paradigm, a new brand with salience and pull was born.

“There was a sword hanging on my head all the time. I spent many sleepless nights. One day, I got up early in the morning and went directly to Yash Chopraji and told him that I was bankrupt. I had no films. My house and a small property in New Delhi were attached. Yashji listened coolly and then offered me a role in his film Mohabattein,”

He says “I then started doing commercials, television and films. And I am happy to say today that I have repaid my entire debt of Rs 90 crore and am starting afresh”

Conclusion

He lost all the wealth that he had built because, like many others, he was good at earning and creating wealth, but trusted others and did not have the ability to protect the wealth he had earned. But, like many of his reel roles, in real life, too, he fought and is now a bigger role model across generations.

We focus all our time and energies on building wealth and how we are going to become wealthy. However, we do not place enough emphasis on the protection of what wealth we have, or on protecting our earning ability along the way.

YOU NEED TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR MONEY LIFE. YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOUR HARD EARNED WEALTH. Remember, as long as you have something, there is always a risk of losing it—so be prepared and protect your wealth, because not all of us are Big B.

“Aaj mere paas buildingey hai, gaadi hai, bank balance hai. Tumhare paas kya hai. Kyaa hai tumhare paas…” We should not end up saying “Mere paas Sirf Ma hai..”

You should have ‘Maa’ as ‘Maa’ is priceless….but you should also have things to take care of ‘Maa’. So, do study well and do whatever you can do to achieve your goal.

All the best!
