A union territory is a special administrative division in the Republic of India. Union Territories do not have a government of their own, these are federal territories governed by the Central Government of India. India has 8 Union Territories and 28 States. Ladakh is the union territory in the Kashmir region of India. Ladakh was administered as a union territory on 31st October 2019. It is the largest union territory of India followed by Jammu & Kashmir.

This territory is made up of four different regions i.e. Darda, Nagar Haveli, Daman, and Diu.
