Glory of India : All the best for Rio Olympics 2016

With the grand opening at Rio De Janario, Brazil, Olympics 2016 - the world's biggest sporting event  will start at 08:00pm on 05th Aug'2016 (Brazil Time Zone) and will be broadcast in India on 04:30am on 06th Aug'2016For the first time in its history, the Olympic Games will be staged on South American soil. And India has reason to rejoice, for in this event as 119 competitors are representing India in 15 different events, which include 65 men and 54 women. This is the strongest ever contingent sent by India since India’s participation in 1900. It goes without saying that the chances of winning more medals in the different events have increased. Until now the best winning spree for India has been 6 medals in the 2012 London Olympics.

The events will be held in 32 different venues in Rio de Janario. 306 sporting events will be played out over a span of 19 days.

Games will be celebrated with music ideally-suited for the tropical landscape -- a samba-funk anthem. The theme song will be "The Gods of Olympus Visit Rio de Janeiro." 

Shooter Abhinav Bindra who is participating in his fourth Olympics will be carrying the Indian flag and lead a strong contingent forward in the parade of nations.

The broadcast rights for Rio Olympics is held by Star Sports in the Indian sub-continent. One can watch the live stream of the Rio Olympics on Star Sport’s website or on its digital content division Hotstar’s website. Hotstar has allotted space for coverage of both international athletes and Indian athletes.

And world will see the glory of India in  the designers contemplated bandghala in ivory with the tricolour across the chest with Jodhpuri bottoms, and, crepe or chiffon saree with the colours of the Indian flag. Another option for the men is a short fitted jacket in a light shade with green piping on sleeves.
